Also Buckdaddy if i spelled that right you have to admit, Michigan/ Vandy and Wisconsin/ Arkansas weren't the most fair matches.
I'll concede that the UM/Vandy game wasn't a fair matchup, but how was the SEC Championship Game loser vs. Big10 #3 not a fair matchup??

gator93, every team has up and down years....Purdue probably wouldnt beat UK last year, but Purdue would beat UK other years.
Purdue would have beat UK in 7 of the last 10 years. Though probably not in 2007

When an SEC loses, they're automatically knocked down 5 spots from where they actually finished. Remember when Tennessee lost to Cal? Tennessee was at best the 6th best team in the SEC at the time - but probably closer to ninth. When they finished at second, Cal was good but only for half a season. Forget their loss to Washington or their other 6 losses. We know they were very good b/c they beat Tennessee, it can't be b/c Tennessee was only a solid team and finished second in the SEC.

Maybe they could have. Kentucky did get beat by Vandy so anything is possible. However, with both teams average game - Kentucky would have won (thought not by much) in 2007.

Illinois may not be tough to you, but they always take it to Ohio State....So in my eyes, yes they are a tough program.
Recent examples of Illinois ALWAYS TAKING IT TO OSU, I guess:
2007 ILL 28 OSU 21
2006 OSU 17 ILL 10
2005 OSU 40 ILL 2
2002 OSU 23 ILL 16
2001 ILL 34 OSU 22
2000 OSU 24 ILL 21
1999 ILL 46 OSU 20
1998 OSU 41 ILL 0
1997 OSU 40 ILL 6
1996 OSU 48 ILL 0
1995 OSU 41 ILL 3

Tebow didn't really do much to contribute to the NC squad aside of taking direct snaps. And most of those other guys were only true freshman last year or having played in a single down yet (Moody).I really hope you're saying this just to rile me up, because I would hate to think someone so misinformed and mentally slow would have unfettered access to the internet.
Tebow was the soul of our '06 squad. In the NCG, every time he came in on 3rd down, you knew what was going to happen, yet it still happened!!! He gained 1st down after first down to keep us going. He was responsible for 1 rushing TD and a passing TD, and kept us pumped up all game long. So your 'didn't really do much' comment is crap.
Also, who had the most receiving/rushing yards in that game? Oh, that might have been the freshman Percy Harvin. Another one you say didn't do anything. Also Brandon James reeling off returns deep into OSU territory....another freshman. Louis Murphy burning the DBs for a long gain....another freshman...In fact, the 3 guys that did anything offensively that were recruited by Zook were Leak, Caldwell, and Baker. And if you take their scores out, we still had enough to beat OSU.
And the guys you say were just freshmen this year...those are the ones that 'helped us win despite our defense' this year. Read a little deeper....
But you're right, Moore and Moody haven't played yet, but I am so looking forward to them, I had to put them up there.
If you were being serious, then you have no idea what you're talking about, so just keep your mouth shut.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but damn.......
