Instead of looking at 3 OOC games, OSU should look at the bulk of their pathetic, built-in 10 win schedule.

Bump Illinois, Penn State, Purdue, Michigan State, Northwestern, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin as much as possible.
How pathetic, the Southern Conference is tougher.

SEC 2 teams below .500 1 team at .500
Illinois, Penn State, Purdue, Michigan State, Northwestern, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin as much as possible.
that lineup is no worse than Ole miss, Mis St, Ark, Bama, Ky, Tn, SC, Aub, and Vandy

Bama, Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas? Are you kidding me? Even Miss State last year? All would have finished AT LEAST second in the Big Ten. No doubt about it.

There was no need to stoop to BuckeyeTodd's level, bookdawg, but certainly appreciate the effort. As for being shown up OOC, hardly.
OSU OOC is more the joke then anything..... Toledo, ARMY, Akron, New Mexico State, Youngstown St., Marshall and USC and Miami as the best of. These teams comprise the next four years of your OOC scheduling.
One great team for two years, One "who knows" team for two years and all that trash every year, thanks for playing. UGGGHHHHH!
Will this ever stop! Please, somebody, anybody make it all go away!

There was only one bad team in the SEC last year, and it was Ole Miss. Bobby Johnson of Vanderbilt deserves more credit than he gets for good coaching despite not getting very good recruits (and playing UGA, TN, FL, SC, UK in the schedule). South Carolina had a horrible second half of the season, but they've already had 2 winning seasons under Spurrier. And Sylvester Croom had a breakthrough year for MSU and I expect them to be just as good next year.

And Georgias OOC is that much better???????? I mean come on, oklahoma state, western carolina, Troy, and your little in state rival Georgia Tech, yeah thats soooo much better. Oh and in 2008 you got Georgia southern, Central Michigan, and Arizona state....Georgia certainly is scheduling some tough opponents.

Illinois is a tough program? Last time I checked they had a losing record before last season.
Wisconsin and Penn State are good programs, wouldn't call them tough. Paterno has been there forever, so you have to give him credit to win consistently each year.

Illinois may not be tough to you, but they always take it to Ohio State....So in my eyes, yes they are a tough program.

Okay, each of those teams are legit against both Georgia and Ohio State. Georgia Southern is one of the better teams in FCS (and we know how they matched up with the Big Ten last year.) Central Michigan's QB is a talented one - faired well against the Big Ten in his bowl game (and finished the season with 20 rushing, 20 passing TD). And Arizona State was #2 in the PAC-10 last year, with a 10-3 record and is coached by Dennis Erikson, who has a NC ring.
How on earth does Ohio State's out of conference schedule match up to this?

the #2 team in the Big 10 beat FL 41-35 while giving up the ball 3 times inside the 5 yard line. If Mike Hart doesnt have the worst game of his career Michigan hangs 55 on FL.
I know what you are going to say. FL was the #5 team in the SEC. Well they were either the #5 team in the SEC and that number misrepresents how good they were, or the fact that they were #12 in the country before that game had them vastly overrated.
Bama wouldnt have been in the top half of the Big 10. Probably down there with Iowa or Indiana
Ark would have needed a passing game to be better than 5th in the Big 10
Tn is a toss up, they may have lost to Minn 1 week, beat OSU the next, then came back and lost to Iowa.
Auburn had a good defense, but their offense was mediocre at best.

Tennessee and Auburn could match with any Big Ten team. And if Arkansas was in the Big 10, D-Mac would have broken the conference rushing record for yards in a season.
We already know that Michigan's junior/went-pro receivers are better than Florida's true freshman secondary and that Florida never had a game-winning drive all season. But it was a different team, and I'm glad Lloyd Carr won his final game. Let's not forget the national championship the past two years: SEC 2-0, Big Ten 0-2.

A talented QB means nothing, they are still Central Michigan. They are like ohio universitiy, or Troy for instance, who only lost to Georgia by 10, and they beat Oklahoma state. Georgia Southern matches Youngstown state and Ohio state also scheduled the number 1 team out of the Pac-10...so basically it matches up pretty well.
