I know it would never happen but what if some SEC and Big 10 Alums had a game to see which league has the better players? Only players who are on current NFL rosters would be allowed to play. Here are the rosters and you will see star after star after star.

Big 10 roster

QBs- Tom Brady -Michigan, Drew Brees-Purdue

RBs-Marion Barber-Minnesota,Larry Johnson-Penn State,Lawrence Maroney-Minn

WRs Braylon Edwards-Michigan,Plaxico Burris Michigan State, Chris Chambers-Wisconsin,Lee Evans-Wisconsin, Joey Galloway-Ohio State,Santonio Holmes-Ohio State

TE-Dallas Clark-Iowa

OL-Fozell Adams-Michigan State,Eric Stenbach-Iowa,Orlando Pace-Ohio State,Kris Dielman-Indiana,Nick Mangold-Ohio State,Matt Light-Purdue,Joe Thomas-Wisconsin,Steve Hutchison-Michigan,Jeff Bakus-Michigan

DLs-Luis Castillo-Northwestern,Adewale Ogunleye-Indiana,James Hall-Michigan,Will Smith-Ohio State,Darrion Scott-Ohio State,Aaron Kampman-Iowa,Tamba Hali-Penn State

LBs-Mike Vrabel-Ohio State, Chike Okeafor-Purdue, AJ Hawk-Ohio State,Matt Wilhelm-Ohio State,Julian Peterson-Michigan State,Victor Hobson-Michigan,Shaun Phillips-Purdue

DBs-Bob Sanders-Iowa,Antoine Winfield-Ohio State, Charles Woodson-Michigan,Marlin Jackson-Michigan,Donte Whitner-Ohio State,Nate Clements-Ohio State,Stu Schweigert-Purdue

K- Nate Kaeding-Iowa

Coach Tony Dungy-Minnesota

SEC Roster

QBs- Peyton Manning-Tennessee,Eli Manning-Ole Miss

RBs-Joe Adai-LSU,Fred Taylor-Florida,Shawn Alexander-Alabama

WRs-Donte Stallworth-Tenn,Hines Ward-Georgia,Dewayne Bowe-LSU,Eric Parker-Tenn,Michael Clayton-LSU,Jabar Gaffney-Florida

TE - Jason Witten-Tenn

OL-Chris Samuel-Alabama,Shawn Andrews-Arkansas,Ben Grubbs-Auburn,Marcus McNeil-Auburn,Jason Peter-Arkansas,Tony Ugoh-Arkansas,Max Starks-Florida,Scott Wells-Tenn,Jamar Nesbit-South Carolina,Jonas Jennings-Georgia

DL- John Henderson-Tennessee,Marcus Stroud-Georgia,Albert Haynesworth-Tennessee,Leonard Little-Tenn,Charles Grant-Georgia,Richard Seymore-Georgia,Derrick Burgess-Ole Miss,Jon Abraham-South Carolina

LBs-Demeco Ryans- Alabama,Marcus Washington-Auburn,Bradie James-LSU,Channing Crowder-Florida,Andra Davis-Florida,Mike Pererson-Florida,Thomas Davis-Georgia,Will Witherspoon-Georgia

DBs Champ Bailey-Gerogia,Dunta Robinson-South Carolina,Ken Hamlin-Arkansas,Jonathan Joseph-South Carolina,Sean Jones-Georgia,Sheldon Brown-South Carolina

K- John Kasay-Georgia

Coach-Steve Spurrier-Florida

Who wins- This is basically Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning again. The Big 10 has a huge advantage in the O-line and the WR's. The SEC has an advantage with their D-line but the Big 10 has believe it or not better backs and I like the Big 10 by a touchdown 35-28!

Who do you like? Pick and explaine. Please be unbiased. Im a Colts fan and I love Peyton Manning but I like Brady hitting Dallas Clark and Plaxico Burris all day.Id love for the ACC, Pac 10,Big East, and Big XII fans to chime in or do something similar.

Im from the midwest but live in the south and I admitt the SEC is the better league top to bottom but just looking at the rosters the Big 10 would be the favorite and would win because of Tom Brady and the O-line and his recievers are better than what the SEC has. I like the D-line and DBs for the SEC but overall I like the Big 10 roster better but not by much.

I didnt know of any current NFL coaches who went to school in the SEC. I could have used college coaches, but Les Miles would be coaching the Big 10 since he went to Michigan. I believe Urban Meyer went to Ohio State. Phil Fulmer would have been considered too but Spurrier is the pick.

I think you might want to add All Pro Lito Shepard at CB for the SEC.

I should have added the rookies but went against it because you never know how they will do in the NFL until they play although Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, Chris Williams and Derrick Harvey from the SEC and Vernon Golston, Jake Long, Mario Manningham, James Hardy and Rashard Mendenhall from the Big 10 are all possible first round picks along with a reciever from Michigan State, whos name I forget!!

You left out alot of good players from the SEC, I'll just name a few. Jamal Lewis, Ronnie Brown, Darrell Jackson, Lito Shepard. With the people you mentioned, yah the Big 10 would win, with everybody SEC would win.

How bout we just take the current Big 10 champs and the current SEC champs and let them face off to decide supremacy.  Wait, havent we already done that a few years in a row now?

Yeah UFGATOR 07, Lito is good but there are lots of guys I couldnt put on because there is plenty of talent from both leagues. I always felt that Sheldon Brown his other Eagle corner team mate was better. Mainly because he was on my fantsay football team about two years ago and he was great!

No doubt, I think the Capital One Bowl and Outback Bowl are always SEC - Big 10 matchups, and wouldnt surprise me to see another BCS matchup too.  These games are also so much fun to watch because the two have a deep mutual dissrespect for each other, and usually bring their A game's.  I hear UT-OSU has got a home-home coming in ten years or so...wish it was sooner.  And I know that Alabama-PSU will hook up in the near future.  Im pumped about that game, Im hoping Joe Pa is still pacing the sidelines, hes one of my favorite characters in CFB.

For starters, how do players like Jonathan Joseph & Sean Jones make it over players like Laron Landry, Lito Shepard?

Where is takeo Spikes or Patrick Willis on the list for LBers?

Moulds , Ike Hilliard, Darrell Jackson, Josh Reed should all be on the list before Stallworth, Parker, & Gafney

Alexander is on his way out; I'd replace him w/ Faulk, Jamall Lewis, Ronnie brown, or Cadillac.

SEC can't get a better coach?  Someone else...ANYONE else had to have come from the SEC.  Give us Saban before you give us Spurrier.

Im pretty sure Peyton could hold his own...man that pains me to say.  And you could stick Lito Shepard or Champ Bailey on any two WR's you can find and they will probably just make them look stupid.  I think between who the SEC has in the DL and Demeco at LB the RB's from anywhere could be shutdown.

Another reason I think the Big 10 wins-I know the SEC has speed but compared to the Big 10-your recievers are average or just plain trash!!! I do like Hines Ward though, he is one of my favroite players but compared to the Big 10, its not even close. I do like the SECs D line and line backers but for a league that is supposed to have superior talent, the Big 10 running back trio of Larry Johnon, Marion Barber and Lawrence Maroney is much better than Fred Taylor,Joe Adai and Shawn Alexander right now.

Hey msanch79, Darrell Jackon and Takeo Spikes are currently NOT on NFL rosters. I dont think Moulds is either. You did bring up some good players but again I couldnt put everybody on the roster nor could I remember everybody either. Shawn Alexander may be cut but right now we dont know if cadillac will comback and Alexander is better than Faulk or Ronnie Brown!

Wow. The Big Ten O-line absolutely kills the SEC O-line.

We can argue about this all we want to, hypotheticals, etc.  Fact of the matter is that the only reason big 10'ers (new word, what do you think?) are making this argument is because in the collegiate ranks they cant compete.  OSU has thoroughly dominated the conference the last 2 years, only losing 1 tight game.  But when matched up against their counterpart in the big one they just cant match up.
