Weak Big Ten

that is what you think andyh80. it could happen, though i dont see it happening. this team is way better than last year. what will you say when USC loses to OSU? will you say that if OSU goes undefeated they deserve to play in the championship game? because that is what will happen. they didnt lose anybody and are making this team way better with recruits. OSU is here to stay. Im looking for a good game against USC but in the end they cant stop the firepower of the offense and cant run over the defense.

ill keep posting my prediction, the controversy will be enormous. OSU vs. Georgia for the championship game. this time OSU wins though....

and to the OP, you are out of your mind. do you know anything about anything? clearly only losing 2 bowl games in the past 6 years is now a bad thing. well if that is bad then michigan should have been out with their horrible post season performances in recent years. (except last year)

In 2007 WVU had the NC all but booked. It took a choke of the Mountineers and a choke by Mizzou to allow Ohio State their shot. The blame does not lie with Ohio State it lies with the ineptitude of the teams that could not close the deal.

I agree. Banning a team is just stupid talk.

There have been some great OSU vs PSU games this decade. But none will be as sweet as when that "old geezer" finally wins in the horseshoe this year.

Everyone loves a winner but no one loves it when you win too much.  If you doubt it look at the Yankees, Red Sox, 80's 49er's, Nebraska, Miami, FSU  I could go on and on about all the great franchises people love to hate.  It just so happens CFB fans don't like the Buckeyes right now but I think it's great.  The envy and sour grapes.  Honestly the only fans that have the right to bang on the Bucks are LSU and Florida but Florida fans should have it out of their system here soon and LSU fans have a year left to enjoy being champs.  Everyone else is just jealous.  By the way this year's team should be much better than last years.  Last year was a year early and a very pleasant surprise to Buckeye fans.

As a Michigan fan it pains me to defend the Buckeyes, but at the same time I must defend the entire Big 10. Its good to know that you're a Gator fan, cause at least I can have the last laugh (see Capital One Bowl Box Score.) Ohio State is definatly scary. This team could dominate every team it plays this year including USC and my beloved UM. They have talent at every position, and are deep in depth as well.  If they consistantly play at their level, they could walk away with the BCS championship. PLUS the recruiting Tressell has done will keep them on top of there game for awhile.

How exactly does a team "earn" it's way to the championship game? By going undefeated in the toughest conference in the country? Hmm, didn't seem to help Auburn a few years ago. In the end it all boils down to pollsters and a flawed, ever-changing BCS "formula". Of course OSU would never be banned. However, I stick by my initial sentiment that the Buckeyes will skate through a weak conference and expect yet another shot at the title. I despise USC but I might just pull for them against OSU next year just because I think they at least play in a conference that can challenge them.

As for Michigan's Capitol One win, I say congrats. They were finally healthy and carried a big chip on their shoulder. I don't think Florida's pre-game lip helped them much either. But then again we were starting 66% underclassmen and the team was expected to be rebuilding last year. While Michigan was a preseason top 4 team and wound up being a laughing stock...

I'll tell you one way to "earn" your way to the championship game.  After tOSU loses to Illlinois and drops to #10 (or whatever) in the rankings, if you're one of the 10 teams above them, don't lose another game.  Without getting too deep into the muddled minds that are resposible for the BCS selection process, I think winning out is a pretty simple plan to follow.  Don't you? 

Please root for USC next year.  I'm sure it'll tip the balances of that game.  Your thoughts carry so much weight, they create their own gravitation field.
