Well guys Miles has pulled Perrilloux's suspension and has let him rejoin the team.
What are your thoughts on this? I have to admit that I am a little uneasy with this. I just hope that Perrilloux has finaly got it in his head that if he doesnt do anything he gets to play and if he thinks about what he is fixing to do and it might be a bit of trouble the he should stay as far away as he can or he wont get to play.
Matter of fact he just needs to call Les before he does anything and ask him if it is ok to do it.
With Jarrett Lee putting on a show in spring practice I just hope that Les prepares Lee to be at the helm incase Perrilloux decides to cut class duiring the season.

It's exactly what I thought would happen...there was NO WAY he would kick him off the team...it's a good thing we have an experienced qb starting and Jarret Lee got alot of quality reps against the 1st team...LSU is in good shape....the only question is....Will he screw up again?....i hope he's learned his lesson

You know CT this is one of those cases where I'm really torn. I am always in favor of giving the Tigers their best chance to win. I'm always in favor of giving a young man a chance to straighten up. God knows if folks would have given up on me after some of my "lapses" in common sense I'd be in a different place in life. But, where do you draw the line? I think having him move back on campus will help. i think having some good competition will help. I think having this become a big deal in the media should help. I just hope it's all enough help.

He already has the reputation, and there will always be those that bring it up, so it will follow him. However, he can make up for his past "lapses in judgement", by focusing on what brought him to LSU in the first place........getting an education and playing football.
I have a feeling he's gonna make us all happy he's here.

i honestly think Perrilloux will be ok as far as his off the field incidents go. Any person in their right mind should have learned their lesson by now, but i think that on the field he needs to improve his accuracy and game management. Maybe he payed attention to some of Flynn's greatest attributes last year and it will put him on the radar for a heisman, the kid has the athleticism and arm stregth,a nd with a good season he should be up there.

What kind of "suspension" is it when the player doesn't miss any real activity with the team. This doesn't even amount to a wrist slap and only deepens the sense that too many players have of being above the rules. Don't be surprised if you see Ryan Perrilloux back in trouble again later this year. Why should he change his behavior if he won't be held accountable for it in any real way?

I have to agree that Perrilloux might have a "Relaps" later this year. Everyine knows that Perrilloux gives us our best chance at winning but I I .
1. First problem I have a big fear of is the "monkey see, monkey do" effect. Most players are well grounded so they understand the opportunity that was given to them when they got thier "free ride" to LSU, however if there are other players that think along the lines of Perrilloux's past judgment we might see this problem again down the road with another brash young recruit. "Perrilloux did it, so can I"

My take is Miles understands that no single player is above the team. The problem with this suspension and now that it has been lifted is that it was due to missing class and team meetings most of which while he was dealing with the death and funeral of his father.
Stupid and lack of responsibility? Certainly but even with the prior incidents this one should not have involved a "death penalty".
Further Miles knows the critics both nationally and even some close to the LSU program and despite his National Championship, SEC Championship, 3 bowl wins and huge new raise have doubts about him.
This is an important season for him to show that he can win and keep a team on top.
It is a risk for Miles either way, kick RP off, have a 3 loss season no one gives him a pass. Keep RP get off to a 6-0 or 7-0 start then have RP do something stupid and get kicked off mid season again no one gives him a pass.
The conditions as I understand them are very severe on RP in order to not only get back on the team but also on the field. So far he has lived up to some. He has not missed class, has moved back on campus in a more controlled and watched environment, and Miles apparently is making him run run run before he gets back on the field.
Will RP make it? Not sure, but Miles is in a true no win situation here and I think he has made the best decision possible.
I am pulling for RP who by all accounts is a talented and nice kid even though knuckleheaded on occasion.

Well said Ray3,
Perrilloux should not have been booted for good for his last problems due to the death in the family but he needs to seriously consider that he might have used up all of his 9 lives with that one and past others.

Look, loosing his Dad has got to mess with anyone much less a kid that is already under a micro-scope. I think we all should cut him a break on that. What worries me a whole bunch more than missing classes and team meetings after the loss of a father is all the stuff I've heard said about his mother.
So I have been living under a rock I guess so maybe this story has come and went, but what is the deal with his mom making demands on the university? Was that story false? I hope so, a you man without his father and a mother who might not bee looking out for his best interest, that is something that could not only hurt him as an NFL prospect but that can really damage a program. So help me out, did that story get squashed?

The only thing is that he was skipping class and team meetings BEFORE his dad died. Let's just hope he's garnered something positive from the suspension and he can move on and mature.

I like that he's back, only if he keeps himself together. Les Mile will have him under a microscope from now on. With all the integrity shots taken at Miles last year, I doubt he will alow ney sayers to chllenge him on this. RP slips up again he's prolly a goner.
I do believe though LSU is better with him. He has a great chace to succeed and just has to have the right attitude to do it. But we will see soon enough I suppose.

Perriloux, if he has any common sense at all, has to realize that this is absolutely his last chance. I'm assuming that he has NFL aspirations so he needs to become a model citizen or he can kiss them goodbye. Miles would become a laughingstock if were to give RP another break in the future. I sure hope Perriloux finally sees the light. Geaux Tigers!!!
