Just for the record before i say this.. I AM NOT AN OSU fan, I dont despise them either but hey its the same conference.. Now that i have said that im sure that everywhere in Michigan (my Birth State) All my records will be burned.... I am very happy for Pryor on his decision for OSU.. as i stated in an early post.. RICHIE ROD has ALmost 0 and i mean 0 success with sending QBs to the NFL.. So as far as Pryor is Concerned.. GOod on ya.. As far as Michigan Goes.. Especially seeing the new story about Boren leaving an already very Inexperianced O Line.. I think Michigan Looses close games this year by every good team they play.. Stamina and Familiarity with a new system which i really hate to see at UM but hey we have no choice.. thats what we hired in for.. I just hope that down the line ROD brings some of that WVU success along.

I see what you're saying, but the argument that OSU is the program for QBs is obsurd. Christ their "heisman trophy" QB went in the bottom of the draft. Can you name a OSU QB that played 5 years in the NFL in this century. Tom Tupa doesn't count because he became a punter. Pat White is a NFL prospect and that can be accredited to R Rod., let's face it spread QBs aren't exactly NFL trained thus why Mallett skipped town ( I don't blame the kid). If you aren't a supreme athletic QB like Young (even Vick struggled in the NFL system) then you aren't going to come out of the spread scheme and produce at the next level. It's the nature of the college game and coaches like R Rod have learned to take okay talented highly athletic players create a scheme to utilize that and win games. In the NFL these youngsters age, athleticism is more equal, and talent is what differentiates players. Speed I'm sure is not a description you'd use for many of the top NFL quarterbacks of all time. GO BLUE!! A buckeye is a nut!

Exactly how many NFL QB's has Tressel produced in his time at Ohio State?  Or how many NFL QB's have even come from Ohio State?  Just curious.

Who cares if Rich Rod isn't known for sending QBs to the NFL. That's not his job: his job is coaching college football players. I'm not that when he recruits people the first thing on his mind isn't "will this guy make it to the NFL?"

How many NFL QB's has Tressel produced at Ohio State?  Well, of the QB's he has actually recruited and did not inherit, he has produced 1 out of his first two.  The first QB's he actually brought in himself were Smith and Zwick, and Smith won the Heisman and plays in the NFL.  Now Smith's sucessor, Boeckman, is an NFL prospect and could be playing there after next year (Kiper had him as one of the top 5 junior QB's).  So it seems Tressel could go 2 for 2 on starting QB's who make it to the NFL after next year.  Not too bad I think.

OSU may not have produced that many good NFL caliber QB's but the QB coach Daniels did coach Dan Marino, so they do have some coaches that hsv coached some QB talent
