A basic rule of thumb, assume sarcasm from Northsiders, Ballng, and I...we tend to use it a lot

Oh come on now, it's not that bad! My Cardinals are definitely on the downturn, but I think they'll still do relatively well. I don't expect the playoffs, but I think my Redbirds can win more than 60 something games. Just sayin'.
And btw, I don't root against the Cubs, I root for them...except when they play the Cardinals :) I like hearing Cubs games on WGN radio and such; baseball is a great summer sport.

if the Cubs are completely out of it i actualy pull fo rthe rest of the central to win. it makes the division to look better. it gets old hearing about how we play in the worst divsion every year. BTW the general boards are definitly loaded down with morons. the list you guys made shows a few, but it could go on for days. the sad thing is that they are mainly Red Sox and Yankees fans who dont even have a dog in the fight but yet have to talk smack about the cubs. i had to quit going it was sending my blood pressure through the roof. it is hard to remain civil when surrounded by idiots.

I like that idea, compile a list of stupid things fans of other teams say that somehow involve the Cubs. If I thought about it I think I could come up with a whole bunch, I remember this one idiot Reds fan that I'll look up some quotes from later. There is an idiot Reds fan on these boards?
Shirley, ye must be jesting.

Wouldn't that raking motion increase his recovery time? I would imagine you would want him off the dl, but if Yost has him doing yardwork i guess the manager knows best. Haha.

What a great list Don you get an amen from me. Here's my opinion forget the other fans lol!!!! I had my fun last year as many Brewers fans had to eat there words after they got so pumped up and acted like the race was over in mid May!!!!! I almost would love for this season to play out the same as last seasons but don't know if I can handle that type of stress again. I hope the Cubs have a great start and a great ending this season!!!!

Amen Don - you've got one here.
Carlos Zambrano, despite his temper and inconsistency, plays the game from his gut and always has the potential to go out and throw a 1-hit shutout - I'll take him everyday. Better to have a passionate pitcher than one who doesn't care.
The Brewers are going to have problems this year; they spent their precious money on washed up steroid users Eric Gagne and Mike Cameron and we all know users are losers. Only users lose drugs.
Oh wait, I forgot about saviour Jason Kendall - who is the Brewers' GM anyway? How is Jeff Suppan working out so far? How many millions are left.
Great list don, inspriational and thought provoking.

So what's up with Prince Fielder - is he on a home run strike? To protest getting shafted by the Brewers when they are paying Cameron ten times as much? Hmm. Brewers don't know a good thing when it's right in front of their face. When he is old enough, Fielder is going to fly, fly away because the Brewers don't seem to get it.
So now he eats lettuce and will hit texas leaguers to right field and will hit long singles off the wall.

If you've seen Prince hit since the diet switch, you would see that he is still quite capable of crushing pitches.
Better to have a passionate pitcher than one who doesn't care.
Better to have a consistent pitcher than one that loves makes the opposing team angry. As one player once said: "They already want to beat you. Don't give them another reason to want to kick your a$$"
Only users lose drugs.
What?
