As many of you know I spend most of my time on this site arguing with other teams fans, usually Brewers fans. And while I love to whip other teams ' fans around as I usually do, but it's gotten really frustrating, and the season hasn't even started yet. When fans of other teams, who obviously don't know that much about baseball, keep calling me an idiot I get frustrated. So I've created this list, now its only quotes by Brewers fans and you're welcome to add your own and some from other teams, to vent. I know I'm a bit of a hypocrite for posting this here after complaining about people talking about other teams on here. I don't care. I know Cubs fans, and even sometimes myself, say some stupid things. I don't care.
- I'm happier that my team missed the playoffs than making it and getting swept. Maybe it's because they haven't been in over 25 years, but I think it's kinda obvious that making the playoffs is a good thing.
- Carlos Zambrano is on the downswing of his career and will have an ERA over 4 this season. Let's see he's about to turn into his prime (age 27 for most ballplayers) and has never in his career had a full season ERA over 4.
- The Brewers will have a top 5 bullpen because MLB.com says so. So because someone wrote it on a website it must be true.
- Bug Selig is intentionaly rigging games against the Brewers and for the Cubs because he is worried that the Cubs won't be able to sell the team. This one if incredibly rediculous. First the idea that former Brewers owner would be doing something intentional to hurt the Brewers. This also came out just after the NBA ref scandel, so if this came out it would demolish the credibility of baseball and demolish Selig's career althougher. Plus the idea that the Cubs need help to sell their frachise. It's not like the Cubs are one of the most popular franchise's in baseball whether they are in first place or last place.
- Cubs made the playoffs on a tecnicality. You know the Diamondbacks gave up more runs than they scored last year, I guess they made the playoffs on the same technicality the Cubs did. You know the one that says if you win the most games in your divison you make the playoffs. Silly rule.
- You only believe Jason Kendell is washed up cause he's a Brewers, he's only a year older than Derrek Lee. Hmm, you wouldn't think that it has to do with that Kendell is a catcher, a position much much more physically demanding than first base.
- You can compare Ryan Braun with Albert Pujols after 4-months of Braun's ML career. Pujols has put up phenominal numbers over a 7-year career...Braun over a 4 month span. Yeah they're sooo comparible.
- Jason Kendell will catch close to 150 games this season. Let's see he's almost 34 and hasn't caught 150 in a couple years, and is coming off a season where he only caught 134 games.
- Kendell will score the Brewers 30-40 more runs because some baseball mathmaticians say so. Then they go on to state that it's because of a career .375 OBP, completely disregarding that he had a .301 OBP last season. I've personally calculated how he will help the Brewers using some of the most complicated and accurate measures of stats, XRs, and under best-case scenarios (2005 numbers) he won't add close to 30-40 runs.
- And now for a special bonus one from a Yankee fan...Should the Cubs build a new stadium? I think they should. New stadiums are much cooler than old stadiums! And there is a lot of advanced technology in new stadiums! I don't even need to make a sarcastic comment to make this guy look like an idiot.
So can I get an amen?

So because someone wrote it on a website it must be trueFunny, because that was okay with you yesterday when rotowire said that Manny Parra is better than Carlos Villanueva. That's your only source for that conclusion. You are such a hypocrite.

That's your only source for that conclusion.
I'm pretty sure I also quoted that Parra has a better ERA at AA, AAA, and MLB and what I've seen personally, in my own non-biased opinion (I really don't care who wins, it doesn't matter to me).

#10- Pshhh. I don't know about you, but giant plasma screens, fireworks, mascots, cheerleaders (female apperantly along with male this year), domes, and astro turf just SCREAM baseball to me! I mean that's the way it was meant to be played, right?

Well I do care. Believe it or not (I'm thinking it's a "not"), I want the best pitcher to stay in the rotation.

Good for you...if you want to argue about that here's a thread, I think it might seem familiar to you

I like this. I have a guy on the Badger basketball board that would be a prime candidate for this board, and I'm a Badger fan. Lets see if we can keep this going throughout the season

I like that idea, compile a list of stupid things fans of other teams say that somehow involve the Cubs. If I thought about it I think I could come up with a whole bunch, I remember this one idiot Reds fan that I'll look up some quotes from later.

You'll have to put it under a thread that we'll all remember and be able to find throughout the year. Something like, "The Wall of Stupid."

The Brewer's will win the Central because they have. . . and a bullpen that is projected to be one of the top 5 in MLB.
Projected by whom?? And remember which guy will be making the calls to the bullpen again this season. Sorry Don. Had to add that one in just because of it's improbability.
The Brewers ought to win the division on the simple basis that they have the most talent
See New York Mets, Yankees, Phillies, Cubs etc. who have just as much talent but can't win the division or get past the first round. Talent doesn't mean a thing if you can't utilize it.
AGAIN I SAY THAT EVERYONE STAYS RELATIVELY HEALTHY WE WILL HAVE A GOOD SEASON. THE OFFENSIVE IS VERY POTENT, WE WILL AGAIN HAVE A STRONG PEN AS LONG AS THEY DONT GET OVERUSED LIKE LAST YEAR. THE BENCH WILL ALSO BE BETTER THAN LAST YEAR.
LETS SAY IF RASMUS WINS THE STARTING BATTLE FOR CENTER FIELD AND PLAYS 140 GAMES DOES HE HAVE THE POTANTIAL TO BE THE ROOKIE OF THE YEAR. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK.
I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR WHAT EVERYONE THINKS OF MY ANALYSIS OF THIS YEARS TEAM.
I ALSO THINK GETTING ROLEN OUT OF THE CLUBHOUSE CAN ONLY HELP THE ATMOSPHERE. EVEN IF HE IS A GREAT PLAYER.
WE WILL WIN 90-95 GAMES AND GET 1ST PLACE
I'll say it is a flip flop between Brewers, Cubs, and the Cardinals
Cardinal fans. What are you going to do?

don, this list is hilarious. i will give you an amen
The sad thing is this list is just ones that stuck out in my mind or have happened in the last few days...there are plenty more I haven't listed.
however if we look up and down the Cubs board i bet you could put together a massive list about our fans as well.
Oh definitely, you could probably make a list of things I've said...I remember one specifically, I won't share it because I don't want certian people to know.

Please tell me this Cardinals fan meant LOSE 90-95 games. I think that is much more likely.

Here's a few from a Reds fan...
- 3B Aramis Ramirez vs Edwin Encarnacion Edge - Reds Clearly playing favorites, hear me out. Ram turns 30 this year(HR's didn't break 30 last year) and is on the decline. Edwin's little stint in AAA got his attention and forced him to grow up a little, Edwin comes around BIG this year .285 30+HRs. Hey another one where I don't even have to make a sarcastic comment.
-
SKIPPER Lou vs Dusty Edge- Reds (So long as Dusty can keep his kids off of home plate) Oh will they soon learn...
-
BP - EDGE Reds - and only getting better by the day, now is there somewhere we can dump Stanton and Coffey? So Franciso Cordero Jeremy Affeldelt will single-handedly account for a Bullpen ERA 1.35 points lower?
