From the DNJ:
MTSU and Vanderbilt will play a football game 100 years after their first one.
The schools have renewed their budding rivalry with a four-game series beginning in 2015. MTSU will play host to Vanderbilt at Floyd Stadium in 2015 and 2017. The teams will play at Vanderbilt Stadium in 2016 and 2018.
MTSU and Vanderbilt first played a varsity game in 1915, but the schools have only met 15 times on the gridiron.
"With gas prices as high as they are, doesn't it make sense to play teams in your area?" said MTSU athletic director Chris Massaro, who had negotiated with Vanderbilt to renew the football series since 2006.
The 2015 game will be only Vanderbilt's second trip to Murfreesboro (the other was in 1920).
