they dont even play that tough of a schedule

Syracuse had a strength of schedule of 31 last year out of 119 Division I schools. Notre Dame had a strength of schedule of 32 so i'd do some research before you post. Plus the fact that it's easier for Notre Dame to get the tougher schools because Syracuse actually plays in a conference so were stuck with at least a couple of easy schools each year from conference play.

wow, a .013 stronger schedule and thats because if you look at the overall rankings, the big east teams are way way over rated... cincinnati at 14? south florida at 19? while teams like usc who could have beat lsu at 11, and notre dame did get 1 more win...and even with a very young and inexpirienced team notre dame was actually in more of their games than syracuse was... points given up to scored for su was 418-197 while nd was 345-197

easy conference schedule? really? and before two years ago there was only 1 good team, and yet cuse still gets destroyed by big east teams...

all syracuse sports have gone down hill since 2003, thats why you guys need a new ad... nice game vs umass btw.

I don't really know how you can say that when we'll have a top 10 team in basketball next year and the SU women were ranked this first time ever this year. The mens lax team is ranked second in the nation and i'm sure the womens lax team is following. Yeah the footballs had some down years but that doesn't take away the fact that they used to be good. If you know our situation like most people do, you should know that we need to fire our head coach.

well yea i do know you need to fire your coach, but your ad isnt helping, your mens lax team has been down lately, ever since their national championship team, and i dont think su will have a top 10 team in basketball, not with the big east in basketball, with teams like wv and nd next year and idk if johnnie flynn is coming back or not but if he leaves then its another mediocre season for su. even if he stays...su couldnt hold a lead if their life depended on it, nova in the big east first round, umass in the nit, pitt in the regular season (still not sure you on earth su lost that game). i  said since the 2004 season, ur mens team is 22-19 in the past 3 seasons since the nc, for syracuse lax thats pretty bad, you guys didnt even make the tournament, and i dont  follow womens lacrosse so i cant really comment on that one.

We had one down year last year because of injuries in lacrosse. We had a down year in the beginning and then we made the final four last year before losing to the unstopable Virginia Cavaliers. This year were ranked second in the nation which isn't too bad at all. We've already beaten a couple of top 25 teams and it's only been like 4 or 5 games. You don't think SU will have a top 10 team in basketball next year ? There will be many schools from the Big East that are losing key players this year. We'll be in the top 5 in the Big East next year for probably the whole year. Jonny Flynn's coming back, he's not leaving and neither is Donte Greene because they both said they'll be back next year. Flynn will probably stay until his junior year in my opnion. The reason SU couldn't hold a lead was because of injuries , lack of a bench (which means lack of energy in the second half of games) and the fact that they're young and inexperienced. With Devendorf and Rautins coming in next year along with three incoming freshman there's a chance that we can go 9 or 10 guys deep next year and have 4 juniors on the team. This year we started 3 freshman and 2 sophmores and we had 0 juniors on the team. I don't understand your logic about SU being a top 10 team next year when it appears that you know nothing about college basketball. Syracuse would of beat Notre Dame if it weren't for your best shooter McAlarney who hit 9 out of 11 threes that game. They would of also beat Louisville if they didn't give up on them with a minute left in the game when they were down by two because they had no energy left. They almost beat Georgetown the first time around at Georgetown but we lost in overtime by two on a Jonny Flynn missed in and out 30 footer at the buzzer because his legs were tired after playing 45 minutes. Don't get me started with Pittsburgh and the lack of halftime adjustments for the Pittsburgh game and the UMass game (which probably had to do with the press and energy again) resulted in losses. Next year we won't lose games because the players won't be playing 35-40 minutes a game. We'll actually have a bench.

wow, fightingirishfan, you look dumber as you post. nothing you say makes sense. notre dame sucks. deal with it. you might want to win a bowl game before you do anything.
