Has anyone seen the Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel?

There is a segment on Mike Marshall.  (The pitcher not the first baseman)

He is teaching people to pitch so they dont damage their arms.  I loved Mike when he was a Dodger, the man could pitch everyday and be very effective and never break down.  Effective enough to win the Cy Young for us.

But JESUS the way these kids look pitching it looks like they are going to twist their arms right off their bodies.  He has a Phd in muscles or anatomy or something and he never broke down but It seems unfathomable that the way he is teaching these kids isnt tearing the arms up.  It hurt to watch.

Plus the segment on Lenny Dykstra was interesting.

I saw that Bob.  I have been hearing about Marshall and his "outlaw mechanics" for years, but this was the first time I saw it in action.  While it might be the best way to go, you sure will end up looking dorky doing it.

I was much more interested myself in the segment on Dykstra.  What an odd bird.  The guy has not changed much personality wise since he left baseball...., he is just a meg-millionaire now, and all off of his own smart business investments.  In fact, and as mentioned in the piece, he is coming out with his own high finance mag, and it will cater to the big buck athletes, helping them protect and grow their money in the short time window that pro athletes get to make it in.
