i'm sure it was thier plan all along. they brought him to japan because coco has had a groin injury. moss wasn't going to make the roster. they needed him for insurance for these two games, and, he came in handy. i'm sure he is happy with his trip to japan, and now it's off to pawtucket....he's got some work to do.
I would want to know right away. Most of these guys have been living this life for a while. He knows what his place is, will keep working, and will wait for his chance as what he did yesterday will not be forgotten. (especially with all the "statisticians")
so let me get this straight, JD Drew just needs one grand slam in the post season to justify his rediculous pay check? This guy looks a lot better than drew ever did so we send him back before returning to the states? Is something going on behind the scenes that I don't know know about?
Are you being serious? He knew about it and this was widely expected. Both teams went over with an extended roster and demotions were expected right after the game. You make it sound like they kicked him out of the clubhouse and made him take the bus back to Fort Myers.
Should the Yankees bring back Aaron Boone then since he hit a clutch home run? JD Drew is a good player with the potential to be so much more if he can stay healthy and consistent.
There is no if's and's or butt's about it. Drew has as much value to the starting lineup as Coco Crisp has playing half the season on the DL. They're better of with a serviceable player that can be productive enough to help them win.
