Does anyone else believe another losing season will cost Prince his job? The new AD will have this guy on tight leash. The JUCO signings were pure desperation by a prideful novice who shouldn't even be coaching. He doesn't belong in the Big 12. He has no commitment to the run, none. This isn't the ACC. Wasn't this guy suppos to be an O-line and tight end genius? The o-line has been a joke his entire run. These guys were fairly highly touted as some of  the best o-line recruits state ever got. The Big 12 will always be a power league. At half against Nebraska we had 1 rush yard, pathetic. The week prior it took Texas 3 quarters to figure the Corn couldn't stop the run and ran for 200 yards in 4th quarter on route to scoring 21 unanswered and winning the game. What do we do the next week? Ignore that fact and continue the 5 yard dump off offense. We have the Black Schottenheimer. The worse loss in cat history to the corn. Think about those garbage 80's teams they didn't even lose like that. The 3-4 is failure in a running league and he has given KU the upper hand in recruiting and momentum. Half of those juco guys won't even make it to campus. The other half may produce 5 players. Let us remember such juco studs as Malcolm Wooldridge and Marvin Simmons. Total juco busts. The staff has no continuity and never will under this clown. Embarrassment after embarrassment. Giving Rutgers their first bowl victory, record blowouts and a style of play the fans don't even like. What a HIRE!

im not going to say i told you so. We already had these arguments back in Sept-Oct etc. But Prince has been changing schemes, personel, and staff ever chance he gets. Someone should tell him that continuety has its advantages.

This upcoming season is going to be very interesting. Its easy to be negative  about it: 20 JUCOs, only 6 will be on campus for spring practice, actually getting into the system, the other 14-15 will get there in August, just in time to gray shirt or study up for the first game approaching in a month. They could easily go 2-10 if a couple of things dont happen 1) Oline - must, i repeat must, improve blocking for Josh and improve opening running lanes!! 2) Freeman - dont kome in over weight, dont throw 40yds across the field for a 5 yard gain. 3) defense - my god, kan it actually get worse? better hope not.

At the same time, these JUCOs could actually be key players, Freeman could be ready to kick some butt this year, and the oline might completely solidfy into a tight unit. they could actually go to a bowl next year. I dont know. Its too hard to tell with this team, especially with the desperation JUCO mode that Prince just jumped into (which it is desperation, you know that right?) The scariest part about this whole fiasco with the Football team is that if it really goes south, KSU could of done a full 180 and be right back in the toliet that Snyder pulled it out in the late 80's. With KU and MU emerging as powers (and actually developing a program) Nebraska and CU wont stay down for long, and ISU looks to be developing a pretty good defense (just like how KU turned it around early under Mangino) the North will be doing nothin but getting better while KSU is still waiting to "turn it on" under Prince. Combine that with the natural geographical disadvantage that KSU has and recruiting could really drop off, further hurting the program. Of course, KSU could actually turn it around this season. I think Prince should have at least a 4th year too regardless,  with the chance to really coach his guys and not Snyders rejects.

The new AD will definitely have some hard decisions to make coming soon.

Good luck, see ya guys in Lawrence.

Rockchalk!

hmmmm i will have to disagree, the texas win was amazzzing, they put texas to shame but i believe it was the players that made the difference and not the coaches, i think they audibled most of the plays against texas because freeman looked like  a beast and jordy nelson was all over the place that game, i think that game they ignored the coach and was like forget him we;re gonna give em hell jus like last year, so that is what i stand on that, as for offensive hell we avereraged it seemed 29 more or points on that, what we need is defense and the oline needs to get better i'll agree, please someone block josh freeman, but i will have to say history does repeat itself, heheehh nebraska lost against ksu at home worst loss ever then, this year ku worst loss spread ever to, hmmm thats pretty good considering that they were both kansas teams and that is why even if you're from kansas you ave to root for both even when they are not playing, another thing that the juco's coming in i think will do some damage jus not enough  against the powerhouses, our run game needs to improve especially after the incident we had with our rb and the knife, so in conclusion oline needs to get better, block freeman, and finally don't count the cats out, i mean they can be amazing and then the next week be slumpt, thats why we have the greatest fans in the big12 you never know what will happen.  !!!  Go Cats!
