OK sorry, I got really busy at work, and didn't think this thread would blow up with so many responses that fast.
To all who are trying to rebut the original post and talk about OSU only having ONE big team per year (other than 2007 where the whole OOC schedule was crap) please tell me what teams are even REMOTELY comparable to a USC or Texas from this list.....? Crickets.............chirp..........chirp....
OK State
West Carolina
Western Kentucky
UAB
Colorado
Boise State
La Monroe
GA Southern
Marshall
Clemson
Northwestern St
New Mexico St
Arkansas St
Houston
GA Southern
New Mexico St
Utah St
Central Fl
Wyoming
Kent St
Arkansas State
Northeast Louisiana
Southern Mississippi
The fact is UGA has scheduled so many cupcakes OOC that to even argue is silly and borderline mentally unstable. Spare me with the whole, "The SEC is soooo tough IN CONFERENCE" crap.
Yes they play a lot of good teams in conference play, but so do other teams in BCS conferences.
The truth is LSU's OOC scheduling is almost as bad as UGA's, with the exception of the Va Tech game in 07, and a couple games with ASU. Why SEC teams are afraid to go outside their backyards and play a really good team is beyond me. But don't try and act like the list above doesn't exist.

Hey Derekross05!
I'm a Vol fan so I understand the year-in year-out schedule strength of the SEC! I'm tired of hearing the complaining from the non-SEC folks. They've had a chance to prove how great they are for the past two NC games and each time, the trophy came back to the SEC. I think we will have a down year this year but that doesn't mean I have to talk trash to Dawg fans or anyone else like captain buckeye... Just line up and play the game and either win or shut up! Go Vols, go Dawgs and go SEC!!!

Yep, Todd's response is the past and I am talking now and future, you all choose which is more relevant. And about your team's OOC schedule now and future?
As far as Miami is concerned, freshd, I don't have the slightest idea how good they will be, do you? What I do know is they haven't been good lately and have to prove it on the field like we all do. Hey, I am not claiming anything on here. I simply stated comments reacting to Todd and his OOC BS and am comparing the two teams, UGA and OSU. I say UGA is solid in their scheduling now that there has been some changes. What say you?

now if OSU decides to come to SEC country it will be interesting
tOSU came to SEC country a couple months ago. Now if UGA. FLA,TEN,LSU would come to B10 country that would be interesting since it is far more likely to never happen.

For starters, OSU didn't play USC in the last 10 years. So the argument should only be Texas.
So nobody as tough as the 13-0 Texas OSU played 1 year out of the last 10. However, the 10-2 and 9-3 GA tech teams were comparable to anyone else OSU has played the last 10.
Plus OSU has failed to play an OOC BCS foe with a winning record 3 of the last 10 years. Georgia has played an OOC BCS foe with a winning record every year for the last 10.
So what are you saying, Ohio State plays tougher OOC schedules 1/2 of the years and UGA plays tougher OOC shedules the other 1/2?

bama- bowl winner.. 2-1 in last 3 bowls
MSU: bowl winner
UK: bowl winner
vandy: cupcake
ole miss: oregeron = cupcake.. but interestingly he could recruit, so a potential turn around team under a new coach
Bama may be 2-1 in bowls but ony 1 team was above .500 before the game and that was Colorado.
MSU beat mid-major UCF 10-3.
UK beat a half strength FSU team by 7. FSU wasnt even all that good to start with.
Vandy, you are right, they are a cupcake
Ole Miss, new coaching may help, but they will be a national cupcake again this year.

Oh my, that is just embarrassing. Seriously people, root for your team, not your conference! It is ok to root for your other teams in your conference in bowl games unless it is your rival, i.e., I laughed when scUM got picked to play UF, even though scUM won, I was looking forward to the humiliating defeat that never happened.
Now, for this thread, BT I think you are looking into this a little too hard. UGA has seen its weak schedule in the past and is working to fix that OOC glitch, I think they picked a bad year to do it considering this is the best chance they have had under Richt to go to the NT, but if they are as good as the media believes they will prove it on the field and in the bowl game....

MSU beat mid-major UCF 10-3.MSU wasn't favored to win that one though.... And what difference does the 10-3 score make? That MSU's D stopped Kevin Smith?

sorry that my conference pride causes you embarrassment, osufanatic
in any case, if you have no pride in your conference, how in the world does winning a Big 10 Title mean anything? When the season starts, I completely understand rooting only for your team but I don't undestand hoping for a weak conference. Doesn't winning a title then become a little like being the tallest midget at the circus? It's like, good for you but what does it mean in comparison to the rest of the country?
