Playing Syracuse(other than Pitt) is as close to playing GT for Georgia with our 69th meeting.

Except the difference is

Georgia Tech has gone 37-27 over the past 5 years and 79-47 over the past 10 and has been above .500 every single season in that time frame.

Syracuse has gone 19-40 over the past 5 years and 57-64 over the past 10 with 4 losing seasons,  2 .500 seasons, and 4 winning seasons.

Here is something funny

Over the last 10 years,

Georgia Tech is 79-47.

If you take the record of the best BCS team Ohio State played every year over the last 10 years,

their combined record is 77-45.

bama- bowl winner.. 2-1 in last 3 bowls

MSU: bowl winner

UK: bowl winner

vandy: cupcake

ole miss: oregeron = cupcake.. but interestingly he could recruit, so a potential turn around team under a new coach

If you take the record of the best BCS team Ohio State - should read OOC BCS team.

07 Washington 4-9

06 Texas 10-3

05 Texas 13-0

04 NC State 5-6 (Cindy was still CUSA)

03 Washington 6-6

02 Washington State 10-3

01 UCLA 7-4

00 Arizona 5-6

99 Miami (FL) 9-4

98 WVU or Missouri 8-4

Alabama is still a legit team. Mike Shula was just a bad recruiting and not a very good coach but they used to have one of the most winning teams in the country. And Kentucky has been bowl eligible for the past 2 years so it's not like they are anywhere near Minnesota's level. Mississippi wasn't a good team because Orgeron was a bad coach; they were pretty good when they had Eli though. And Bobby Johnson and Sylvester Croom are real underrated coaches and have done a good job with the lack of great players that they coach so I don't really know why you continue to bash the SEC. LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, and Auburn are all championship bound teams.

As a Buckeye fan I will have to give UGA credit they have decided to leave the south after 40 years and they are improving their OOC schedule.

Todd, go answer your teams OOC schedule on the UGA thread. I see you posted this and ran. NIce.

Lets see, OSU plays OOC.....

2008 Youngstown St., Ohio, USC, Troy

2009 ARMY, USC, Toledo, New Mexico State

2010 Marshall, Miami, ARMY, TBD

2011 Akron, Toledo, Miami, TBD

out of curiosity, how good is Miami?

Can we just get past Todd and his whines, pretty please with a crystal on top!
