So Tdozzy,

What makes going to Tallahassee any less daunting for the Seminoles than going to Mizzou or Washington State or UCLA or any one of those places?  In fact, it is far more daunting, so don't give me that crap.  FSU is a non-conference BCS team that until about 2002 was a National Power every year.

You guys hardly ever play in cold yourselves so stop with that childish argument.  How is 70F and advantage for any one team over another?  Duh.  Go play in the Motor City bowl if you want to stay home.  Tell them to turn off the heat and you will feel right at home.

BigDawgs what is your obsession with cold. I never made an argument about playing in the cold. I clearly stated it is not about the cold it is about being home. Read the post. Also when responding about Florida not traveling come back with something better than Florida playing a Florida team in Florida.[It kind of makes you look silly} I also gave praise to Florida's quality of schedule do you want to argue that also?

Dozzy, you idiot. If OSU players want to stay home it's not because they would get 100,000 of their own fans screaming for them. The bowls split the tickets as evenly as they can between the schools. That way they can eliminate as much of the 'home field advantage' as they can. I have heard from people that were at the game that there were almost as many OSU fans as LSU fans. I also know that Michigan was well represented in Orlando this year. So there goes your hope that you could gain that advantage....

Also, they wouldn't play a game at the Shoe you moron. Isn't the stadium dry? Meaning no alcohol? They would play at Cleveland or Cincy. And when they did, whatever opposing team's school would be offered their fair allotment of tickets and the crowd would be fair.

Gatorback
You don't have a clue do you. Like I said only an idiot wouldn't want to play the game at home and seems as tho your that idiot.

Tdozzy,

You guys have the obsession with playing games in the cold, not I.  So if it is not an issue with you that is fine and we can give it a rest.

The issue with Florida and Florida State is one of who they are playing.  They play a BCS opponent every year home and home.  And that particular opponent happens to be the record holder for most consecutive top 5 finishes.  That is the issue.  What is your deal with travel?  The fact that they are an out of conference but in-state rival makes then at least the equal of going out and playing UCLA or Cal or Mizzou or whatever.

You made the remark about SEC teams not traveling outside of their area this decade.  Well, your Ohio State Buckeyes have made exactly one trip to SEC territory since 1908.  That is one time in 100 years.  Meanwhile, Columbus has hosted SEC teams 9 times.  Yeah, your visit was to Baton Rouge.  Your Buckeyes have played 16 regular season games against ACC teams and 14 have been in Columbus.  One of your visits was to Chesnut Hill and the other to Raleigh.  So in total, other than bowl games your Buckeyes have made exactly 2 visits to schools in the southeast in 100 years of playing football.  The University of Georgia has made 2 visits to Ann Arbor in that time alone.  The University of Florida has played in Evanston and Bloomington during that time.

Your home and home ratio with the Big XII is just as bad.  You almost never play Notre Dame, so that leaves the PAC 10.  And because of the Big Ten and PAC Ten relationship in the Rose Bowl you have played quite a few games with the PAC Ten.  But even then, there is a great disparity.  Against the California teams you are even in home and away games.  Against the Huskies you actually have played one more game in Seattle.  But against Washington State, Arizona, Arizona State, Oregon and Oregon State you have played 21 games.  Three of those were outside of the Horseshoe.

I have not criticized who the Buckeyes play.  But please stop with this incessant crap about when are you going to play a game outside the south.

If you don't have an obsession with cold  than why do you keep bringing it up?Where did I even mention the cold, other than twice to say it has nothing to do with the cold but being at home yet you still I argued about the cold not I. Like I said sounds like an obsession.

As far as traveling I clearly stated tOSU was no road warriors but I was responding to all the idiot SEC posters that try to put all the blame on the B10 for not scheduling the SEC. Like these guys know that the SEC tried to schedule a home and away series with the B10 and they turned them down. You can complain about tOSU's lack of traveling all you want but I still proved that tOSU still travels more than any team in the SEC. Look of the facts and try to deny that statement. Also every post I made about scheduling was in response to an  inaccurate SEC poster not an attack. I have respect for many SEC teams Quality of scheduling as I have stated before.

Michigan and Georgia tried to schedule a home and home. Michigan demanded 2 for 1 and killed the deal. If they really wanted to play, they would have bumped the money or settled for 1 to 1.

How many times do people have to explain this before you finally understand (Or listen)? UGA had its in conference games and yearly H&H with Clemson, GT and SC (Before they were in the SEC) There wasn't room to play anyone else, regardless of where they were located. With the 12th game, we have begun to travel a little and actually go west several times in the next few seasons. @ ASU, the return trip to Colorado, etc.

MeRMental

Maybe you can explain it again or maybe you need to learn something about you team? You stated that UGA had it's yearly H&H games with CLEM, GT, and SC {Before they were in the SEC} Since the beginning of the BCS take away S.CAR, Since 98 UGA has traveled to Clem 1 time so take them away as an excuse.I will give you credit for traveling to Georgia Tech every other year, So now what? You say with the 12th game you have begun to travel and go west several times in the next few seasons but since the 12th game was implemented UGA still has only traveled to GT. tOSU can also take credit for something they haven't done yet they are going to USC, OKL, MIA, CAL,VT,TEN in the coming years. So do you really want to explain it again MeRMental? I am listening, Just tell me something I don't know before you give me another 1.

tdozzy,

You my friend are a trip.  The 12th game was initiated on a permanent basis two years ago.  Got that....2 years ago.  Our 12th game in 06 was Colorado at home.  Our 12th game in 07 was Oklahoma State at home.  Our 12th game in 08 is at Arizona State.  Our 12th game in 09 is Arizona State at home AND our 11th game is Oklahoma State on the road.  Our 12th game in 10 is Colorado on the road.  Our 12th game in 11 is Louisville at home. Our 12th game in 12 is Louisville on the road.  Our 12th game in 13 is Clemson on the road.  Our 12th game in 14 is Clemson at home.  Our 12th game in 15 is Oregon on the road.  Our 12th game in 16 is Oregon at home.  In addition, we play Georgia Tech home and home every year.  In SUMMARY, UGA plays 10 BCS games each year through 2016 except in 2009 when we play 11 BCS games.  We play 2 non conference BCS opponents every year except on 2009 when we play 3.

Now tell me how many BCS out of conference games the Buckeyes are playing?  So far they are playing one BCS OOC opponent for the next 10 years or so except for the one year when you are playing Cincinnati again.  And by the way, we have been playing home and away with one OOC BCS level team for about a hundred years or so.

Were you listening?

We are truly honored that you want to give us credit for playing Georgia Tech.  That is so nice of you.  As I said the 12th game was initiated starting last year after being used as an exception in 2003 and 2004.  We have played a major BCS OOC opponent both years and the away games are coming up with them starting in 09 and 10.
