How great would it be for the Indians to sign Julio Franco in early August and host "Julio Franco Day" after he celebrates his 50th Birthday on 8/23/2008.  Everyone in attendance gets a Julio Franco bobblehead with his classic 1980's batting stance.  (Jheri curls TBD).

Talk about connecting the past with the present!

Sounds pretty cool...how is uncle Julio in the dugout?  I know he has been around the game forever so he has to have some clubhouse karma, but it sure couldn't hurt the Indians to have him around the youngsters and have his bat for the 7th inning on...

Was Julio in anyones camp this year?? I havent heard anything, i generally dont follow spring training too closely, except for the tribe.

I'd love it!  I have great memories as a kid with my dad watching Franco, Butler, Carter, Toby Harrah and the fellas play infront of 5,000 fans at Municipal stadium.
