The answer is no. And anyone questioning such has racial issues him/herself.
Slightly off-topic. Ok, John McCain supporters. Time to get real and answer this quiz. See how many you get right. You might even learn something. I know I did ...

The cover is integrated and not racist at all. We are all in the human race. Barack is a cousin of James Madison and Hillary is related to Angelina Jolie. McCain is a descendent of the 1,000 year old man. We're all brothers from many mothers. There is an audacity of hope if we act well toward each other.

Descendency, good question...
to my understanding, there have only been 4-5 other black people on the cover of Vogue and that LeBron is the 1st ever black guy.

For the sake of argument I think it's easy to see racist overtones in the picture if you're looking for 'em. Like the article says a magazine of this stature doesn't just slap any ol' picture on it's cover and surely they knew and were probably trying for a King Kong likeness. Big ape, little monkey or any other simian comparisons to the African American male can be offensive and should be avoided. How about that?

Not disagreeing with what you're saying there Pgh
but
how about instead of using it to bring on the King Kong and white woman likeness, they just used it to show the contrast in the 2 people. Both are considered to be beautiful by many people. It's showing how beauty is in the eye of the beholder. They are so different but at the same time, similar. That's how I would take it. Not "oh crap, Whitey McWhiteface forgot to run this by a black editor before printing it". Or "oh crap, Whitey McWhiteface meant to do this because he can only take blacks seriously as rappers and/or ballers".

That woman is a trap for that black man. This picture represent all the years Black men have tried to chase white women around get'em, and get'em and get'em. I bet he even took her and made a baby with her that evening. This is a disgusting; sickening; horrible; an atrocity, monstrosity and a hypocrisy. Only in America!!!

Black people are too sensitive.
Can that brush you are painting with get any broader?
Jemele Hill and others are paid to provoke. Increasingly, common sense gets ignored when producers and editors want viewers and internet hits. Of course, only someone who already has that perception of Black men would view the cover that way. Those who do not have that perception see something entirely innocuous.
As far as Obama/Wright are concerned. Let's assume Pastor Wright delivers 40 sermons a year. In Obama's 20 years as a member, Wright delivered an estimated 800 sermons. The perceived anti-American snippets come from a handful of those sermons. Why, then, do people continue to assume or purport that all of his sermons in that 20 year period contained such statements? Or, that Obama had to be presnt and/or aware of these statements? Personally, I am not into conspiracy theories. But, spend some time around Blacks, especially those of Rev. Wright's generation, and you will see that some of them see conspiracies against the Black race in almost every thing that occurs. These people are products of American History. If you had lived their lives and experienced what they have, you may feel the same way. I have had conversations with co-workers, relatives, or just in the barbershop with other customers of that generation. Their experiences makes them highly suspicious of power and the establishment.
Make your choice to vote on whatever reason you choose. If Obama is not your choice, you are well within your right to vote for his opponent in any given election. But, if you are swayed by the hoopla regarding Rev. Wright and his statements, you really are not making an informed, reasoned decision.

No, Supercharger - but it makes you smarter than I am -- I only got 7 out of 15.
I was having a stream of consciousness because I saw where someone else brought Obama up.
McCain's hot-headedness is not a strength for him ... in addition to his brain skips at desert press conferences about Iran ...
