I tried to start this on the MLB main boards, but no one responded.

Rich Harden's stat line today: 6 IP 3 H 3 BB 1 ER 9 K's. I'm glad I started him on my fantasy team this morning. I had a good feeling, and it payed off!

I know this guy has talent, but can never stay healthy. So here is my question:

If (yes I know this is a BIG if) Harden could stay healthy for the whole season how good do you guys think he would do? How many wins? ERA? How many K's?

I'm a bball guy, not a baseball guy so I was just curious what you guys thought.

If I had to guess I would guess 14-7 2.95 ERA 190 K's

I predict 17-9, 220 Ks and 3.19 ERA in 225 innings over 34 starts.

When healthy, Harden is a super stud. He showed everyone that last night. Just ask that big bad Boston lineup what they thought of him. Rich is more than capable of winning 20+ games this year. I just hope he has finally overcome the chronic troubles he has had with his arm. If his first start is any indication, he will be A-ok. Looks to be in mid season form already.

He has to stay Healthy. Stupid Oblique strains keep this guy down because he compensates for that problem and strains his elbow. How the hell do we get rid of oblique strains.......?

i have read time over time all harden has to do is stay healthy and he is in the running for the cy young.

playing on this years a's i say 15 wins, 260k  2.70 era  the wins are going to be low because the team is going to struggle to put some runs on the board, even if he is lights out.  as you may have read in ACES it happened to Tim Hudson all the time.

I'd say that I was completely wrong, for now. I expected Harden to be a strike out machine, he's always been that, and the A's ball park is a relatively good pitchers park (speaking lightly), but wins will be hard to come by, so if he stays healthy, here's his season:

200 inning, 13-7, 208 K's, 3.25 era.

he will win 18 games this year with an ERA under 3 because he will be traded, hopefully he will be traded for at least 3 solid prospects, hopefully the Yankees deal hughes and some others as harden is a top 5 pitcher in the majors when healthy, the dude is sick and is wasting away here
