I picked KU to go all the way BUT I give Nova a 50/50 chance. I think they match up well physically except for the 2 bigs Kaun & Aldrich BUT looking at the bigs time played over the last 4-5 games or so, they don't play major minutes and they don't score lots of points or really kill the opposition on the boards. Vs UNLV 13 minutes; vs. Port 22 minutes; vs Tx 26 minutes; vs K State 26 minutes. They're not going to hurt you if they don't play. Also, Nova generally plays 8 with major double digit minutes and can play 10 if need be where as KU generally plays 7, maybe 8. That can wear on KU. I haven't really watched KU play a lot BUT I don't buy they're much more athletic than VU.VU can match KU shot for shot and even better maybe. Their guards can drive and kick it out or create for themselves. Their front court is under rated. BUT it's the defense and taking care of the ball that will win it. VU has been playing better D lately, BUT that's the challenge.
I think the pressure is on KU because they disappointed the past few years. VU is mentally tough (witness the comeback against Clemson (18 down) and against LSU early in the year.-21 down) And I personally give the coaching edge to Jay Wright--a great motivator. NOW with all that said, you still have to PLAY THE GAME AND EXECUTE.
