The next essay I read about a coach's "brutal" practice is the one that I send an invitation to Officer Training School or any military academy. I'm sick of hearing about how these crybaby college athletes react to physical challenge instead of responding. Pain is weakness leaving the body, and if you have to "convince each other to show up" for an opportunity to improve yourself each day, then you have no business being an athlete or participating in any team activity. A coach or supervisor is there to maximize a player or employee's potential, and everyone should know the mind caves in to discomfort before the body. Coach Gillispie is one of the best at getting the most from his student-athletes, and if Crawford and Co. puked a few times to achieve their potential, good for them.
