I'm watching the game and think it is time, at 40-32, for Pitt to make gtheir run and take this game away from Mich State. Pitt definitely has the team to not only win tonight, but to also make it t the final 4. WVU and marquette got it done today. C'mon Pitt, make the BE proud!

Wow, 3 foul calls in the last 4 mins, and then a gift timeout as I watch!!! It was a held ball. Talk about a joke of an officiating crew.

Great career Ronald Roman you just had a bad night, Mike Cook I wich we could have had you for 4 years and Keith Benjamin I don't want to say you were a bust but I thought you where better than your career showed. Great year, LET GO PITT (next year).

I meant to say two HORRIBLE foul calls, a walk that took about a minute to call because the ref didn't seem to know what to call, and then they had the tie up and gave Mich St the TO. Granted Pitt couldnt hit a shot, but they didnt get a chance with the horrible officiating. What A JOKE, it is a shame Pitt's season has to end on those terrible calls.

i was only able to see the last 10 minutes of the game and i have to say the officiating changed styles several times,it went from lettin em play to calling everything and i think in a physical game it's got to be one or the other, not both, with that said,Tom Izzo is one of the top 5 game day coaches in America and he has a team with just a little more talent and a lot more depth,i feel bad for the Pitt seniors,Ramon and Benjamin to end their college careers with really,REALLY bad shooting performances, but lets be real,Jamie Dixon got more of out of team the last month of the year than ANYONE in america, congrats on the Big East title and gotta like what the panthers have coming back next year,Fields,Young,Blair,Brown,Biggs(Mike Cook perhaps??)hopefully a healthy Wallace and Diggs,Pitt dearly needs some tall bodies off the bench to spell FELLA,Jamie had to learn to play 9,10 people if he can avoid the injury bug like this year, all and all, this year should be considered a success,GO PENS!!!

Keep your head up Panther fans...
Please dont forget what this team has done in the last few weeks of the season..they were on a magical run and i honestly think that they got tired after playing so many games against quality opponents...not to mention going to denver to try to "rest" isnt the best situation either. They simply didnt shoot...notice everthing was short.
but anyway...i believe that this team will be better next year. theyll only lose ramon and benjamin..and will have an experienced talented lineup..assuming young stays
And also, the last few years pitt has made players who were average one year, a standout the next, first it was gray, and this season sam young... who will it be next year maybe a guy like biggs i would say brown but i expect it from him..
OH and does anyone else have a new least favorite team in msu...i know i do
Hail to Pitt

Its a damn shame. This team had sooo much going for it, and they fought so hard through all that adversity. I wish the season had ended differently, but this team has a bright future, and they accomplised so much this year, that despite the loss its hard not to smile when you reflect and think back on what this team did.
All the credit in the world to MSU, they came out and played a good game and earned their trip to the sweet 16. I think Pitt is certainly among the best 16 teams, we just had the misfortune to run into a really good team that was a bit better than us. Maybe we were tired, maybe we were a little off our game, maybe it was just our time to go. But this team should be proud of all they did. They played the game the right way, with heart, and courage, and determination, and they never game up. I'm proud to be a Panther fan, I'm proud of the way our guys played, and I can't wait to carry on the tradition next year!!!

Thanks for the well-wishes mark, always means a little more when a rival is pulling for you...Congrats on WVU beating Duke, great win for the program, should be an interesting matchup with Xavier.
Pitt just did not do enough to win that game. They simply could not allow Neitzel to go off, and they did. Very, very disappointing. Ronald Ramon laid an egg, not only did he do a poor job defending Neitzel, he was virtually invisible on the offensive end. lt does not take away from a terrific career. Keith Benjamin was awful. It was nice to see him have a solid senior year, I wish them both the best.
A complete lack of inside depth was ultimately was cost the Panthers. While MSU threw three or four guys out there over 6'9, Pitt had no one. Jamie Dixon needs a big man, and needs it badly. I would be doing everything I could to get Dan Jennings. Cassin Diggs has been a complete bust and who knows about Austin Wallace. Tyrell Biggs just does not get it, and after three years, I doubt he ever will.
Blair is a great player and will likely be an all-time great who could be an all-american. However, regardless of wingspan talk and all that other stuff, he simply is not big enough to handle the load himself. He is a power forward, not a center. They need size and they need it now.
While we are at it, how about a guard who can actually create his own scoring opportunities? At some point, you need a 2 who can drive to the hoop or create his shots off the dribble. I keep hoping we can find that. Not sure if we will.
As for the calls late in the game. The refs were extremely supportive of the Panthers through much of the first two-thirds of the game. They did everything they could to get the Panthers through. However, it seemed like they turned on the Panthers late in the game. It was almost like they said, "you had your chance, now we are going to get a marquee team with Tom Izzo leading the way onto the next round." Oh well, Pitt is the better team, but MSU did what they needed to do to win, they deserved it.
The most disappointing thing to me is State is just not that good. We match up with Memphis so much better and were capable of pulling off an upset. State is likely going to get beat badly Thurday, oh well, we had our chance and MSU outplayed us. What a freakin shame.
