How many points will Beasley score Saturday

Wisconsin may Win the game Saturday(they have the better team game) but M Beasley is set up to have a HUGE game.  Wisconsin has NO ONE  to guard him and he has to be a little upset about the bogus foul situation he was in thurs barely playing half the game.  This will be a Man playing agains boys!!!!

I am going to agree with you. YOu can not go one on one with Beatsley. This guy is a stud. I do not see Wisc winning this game on Sat. I see KSU winning by 5 and taking on G town or Davidson.

On that Note, KSU I would love to have a rematch this year as well because I think that Beasley said that KSU could beat Kansas anywhere. I for one am a person like to see the Hawks shut him up. Would be  a close game but KU 84 KSU 78

I have a tough time seeing more than 30, i know how good KSU and Beasly is but I know even better how good Wisconsin's D is. They have the number 1 scoring D in the NCAA! allowing less than 60 points a game, so if beasly does score over 30, it will be over half his teams points guarenteed, but i see something around 20. The game should be good, KSU might not score more than 60 but Wisconsin might not either, they cant score extremely well.

I can't really go against my Badgers so ill say , Beasly with 22 and the Badgers by 7

i forgot that one player can win a game... thought it was a team sport. guess not. beasley is the man...gonna put up 100+...wisconsin (the number 5 team in the country) stands no chance against the athletisism and speed of the vaunted KSU team (unranked)...wisconsin shouldnt even show up.

 theres this guy. his name is michael flowers. hes one of the best one-on-one defenders in the league. in fact, his defense is what beat mich state at the last second in the big ten tourney when he stole a pass intended for neil stenzel and went coast to coast for a layup and the winning points.

but he probably cant hope to contain beasley.

Beasley is a what I like to call a "rent a recruit."  He'll play one perhaps 2 more games for Kansas State and then it's off to the NBA.

The game today is a classic battle between 2 different phillosophies in recruiting.  Does a school go after the one year blue chip and hope that he provides enough fire power to give the program a one year flash, or does the school go after players that will play 4 years, develop and become an integrated part of a team concept.

Wisconsin represents the 4 year development type of team, and Kansas State represents the one year flash.  For the game the answer may be the one year flash, but where will Kansas State be after that?  I can assure you that WIsconsin will be a consistent, albeit not necessarily national title contender who will be in the tournament year in and year out, with a team that can literally lose to anyone, or beat anyone including a #1 seed.    Where will Kansas State be next year?  My guess is the NIT, and Lord Beasley will be rewarded with playing on one of the worst teams in the NBA.

The thing that gets me the most about the current set up (not letting players go the NBA until they are 19) is that freshman phenoms can completely blow off their second semester of college as they wouldn't become ineligible until after they have declared.  What kind of lesson is that teaching.

Finally to my prediction,  Beasley will score 19, and will foul out ot the game.  No one person can cover him, but the Badgers will throw several bigs at him, bang him around, and the vote here is that he will become somewhat frustrated, but will still have a good game.

I agree Phog Beasley will get his points.  Having bigger guys on him does not bother him.  He will step out to 20 feet hit a couple of 3's like Durant.  Then you run a guy at him he goes around them for a layup or dunk.  He is so much faster than he looks on T.V.  Put a smaller guy on him he will post you up and kill you on the glass.  He is smart, shut him down for a half? so what!  he will get 20 in the 2nd half.  He doesn't get frustrated which is one of his biggest atributes.  Foul him all night he has been known to hit 20 for 20 in a game.  But like the PhOg said he can't win the game by himself, but I have faith the rest of the team is up for the challenge, as you can see they have matured a lot since Jan 30th when they beat then #2 KU.  That is evident from the fact after the game to USC they didn't celebrate they acted like they expected it, like it was supposed to happen that way.  That is why I think The Wildcats will pull this game off our young Freshmen are growing up!
