Let me sum up my thoughts on this, Mich not getting Pryor is kind of irrelant to next years game, he may have started but it would have been his first road game and I wouldn't be expecting much. Michigan should not be as good as last year, ND will not be as bad as last year. Being in South Bend I think ND has a great shot. If I have to guess at a  spread right now I would say Mich (-5). Must win for the Irish.

You Irish love myths dont you,

Sorry but its not going to happen, we are returning a veteran defensive front the same front that was in your backfield all day last year, veteran corners, and two stud safeties one will be a freshman but will be very dangerous.  Just because it's in South Bend doesnt mean anything South Bend is not imtimidating at all. It'll be Michigan's first game on the road expect for them to make a statement!

I do enjoy  your attempts to make this game more then what it is though. I say the score will be 42 UM - 7 ND. I will give you all a touchdown this time. But the defense will be stingy, so its possible that you score nothing at all.

GO BLUE

Didn't ND go 3-9 last season? You really have no point in saying that Michigan is "done" and that ND is going to beat them. Especially since ND was ranked below Temple and the end of last season lol.

For ND to go from 3-9 to 10 - 2 in one year would be the greatest turnaround in college football history. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it.  But I think this team needs to learn how to walk before it can  run.  This may be a make or break year for Charlie. His record after 3 years is almost the same as Willingham.  How long do you think that long term contract will last if they have another losing season? The best thing ND can do this year is take one game at time. They have to earn the respect of their opponents. Right now I don't think too many teams fear ND.
Like I stated in a previous post, the yardstick game for me will be USC. A road game against one of elite teams will tell me how far ND has come.

with all do respect I don't see USC as a yardstick game, we are not going to be elite next year, we need to be able to beat  good teams before we think about  hangin with USC in LA. Look no futher than this Michigan game, Michigan will be beatable especially early in the season. If ND looks good vs SDS this game will be huge in restoring respect to ND.

I say the score will be 42 UM - 7 ND.Haha...so you lose your top 5(maybe more?) offensive players from last year, have a new coach/new offensive system, no experienced QB, and expect to put up MORE points ON THE ROAD??? You must be seeing maize, because its blocking you from seeing reality.

Didnt ND lose to Airforce and Navy and almost lost to Duke? sure we lost to App.State I'm sure somone will bring that up but come one we didnt strike out with a bad season lol.Yes, yes, and no, duke wasnt really close. And its comical that you compare 07 michigan, who were supposed to win an NC with henne, hart, super mario, long, and comp. to 07 ND, who lost all their firepower in the draft, starting a frosh QB, and about 15 new starters. Selective memory i guess. Both our teams fell well below expectations, but apparently you are okay, because your NC title competitors rebounded from the most embarrassing defeat in NCAA history to have a decent year.
I am not worried about our QB situation it'll pan out the talent is there.Haha, yeah, how could things not work out? Even if, what about replacing your WRs? RB? 4/5 of your OLine??? Worried about any of that? Or will it just "pan out"????
When we played ND last year Clausen was on his back the whole game does 38-0 sound familiar.Clausen was also a true frosh starting for what, the first or second time? And on a team that was in disarray. Dont expect to play the same inexperienced team looking for an identity.
We dont need Pryor to beat ND , we have talented other guysUnlike ND, who rarely gets top-rated recruiting classes....
Threet will do for this year but we can get a top QB next class.Your arrogance is hilarious and a little sad. Its okay, you dont know any better. Most ND fans thought the same thing after being treated to 4 years of Quinn as starting QB, like you guys with henne. Then they leave and you realize, oh sh!t, any schmuck cant just step in and be a good QB from day 1. Dont say i didnt warn you.
I can't wait to see our offense this year run ramped on ND. Our defense will be all over these loonsSo pretty much your inexperienced offense with a new coach will destroy us, and your defense will, well, destroy us some more. Any more intelligent insight to offer towards this match up?
Our receiving core is loaded and wayy better then Notre Dame's, their secondary is going to get shredded.Hahaha, let me ask you, do you expect michigan to go 13-0 next year? Because you seem to think they are infallible. Have you ever heard of the term "homer"?
ND doesnt stand a chance against Michigan the next 4-6 years,Okay, what about "biased", you have to have heard of that one at least, right?

If you think that doing good against SDS will restore respect to you, you really have no clue about football, San Diego State? Michigan will have played two games by the time we square off against you guys, two games to one game is alot more experience. We were suppose to be beatable last season too after App State and Oregon but what happened? You got stomped.

GO BLUE!

If you think that doing good against SDS will restore respect to you, you really have no clue about footballIf you think the original poster meant that beating SDSU would make ND respectable, you really have no clue about reading comprehension. cshep is clearly talking about the michigan game.
two games to one game is alot more experience. What about all of last season, when ND was playing together? Does that not count in whatever world you may live in? Two games is all the time that new offense of UM's will have to get the kinks out.
We were suppose to be beatable last season too after App State and Oregon but what happened? You got stomped.Your blatant overlooking of common points is ridiculous, and borderline hilarious. For instance, you completely ignore the fact that ND will be a much better, more experienced team than last year. Whereas michigan will be a much worse, inexperienced team with a brand new coach and a brand new system. And the game will be in SB, not AA.
