A disappointing season ender, but overall really a successful season when you consider 4 starters were replaced. That's a tough job. Now, we have an interesting off-season with Joe Mihalich needing a big recruiting year in more ways than one. We need some size!

6'8" Eric Williams from Montreal has given a verbal commitment and the question is what do we have in Kashief Edwards, who redshirted this year? One would have thought that if he was ready to contribute, we sure could have used him this year, but perhaps he needed a season to bulk up and Joe knew he would overpowered if he played this year and then he would have lost a year of eligibility.

I think we still need two more big players and we need to be able to stop Ubiles and Hasbrouck next season. So, I would think we also need an athletic forward.

Disappointing the NIT passed on Rider as NU might have had a spot in the CBIT, but I'm not sure third place tourney basketball is all that exciting, but the kids would get to play another game, I guess. I'm not sure why that tourney is in existance. When I see a draw like the NCAA tourney field this year, I think the NCAA is sending a message to smaller conferences that the NIT might become their tournament and the NCAA's will become the domain of the power conferences only.
