PaternoPower is an idiot who used to post under the name of "WhiteDude". A bunch of us protested to CBS, and they restricted his access. Apparently, he has found another IP address to use, and is now using a different name to create hate and disharmony. We will work on getting him banned again; you can help by going to the message board help site and lodging a protest against this mental midget.
I hope you will find Penn State fans to be proud of our history, excited about our future, and respectful towards our opponents/their fans.
I think I speak for most Beaver fans when I say we don't mind friendly banter. We welcom opponents fans coming around to mix things up as long as they are respectful. A good argument is good for the mind and makes things interesting, as long as it is a good argument and isn't disrespectful.
Thanks for the support. Don't hesitate to drop us a message if someone claiming to be a OS Beaver fan does the same to your message board. We will support you as well.
It looks like you have a good team this year. Penn State can probably go 11-1 this year. The one loss being to OS of course. :)
Seriously though, I can't give Penn State the (W) outright but I do give you the advantage. I see the game going one of two ways.
1) Penn State really preparing for the OS game, I can't see your team looking past us to the Syracuse game. Penn State wins by 2+ touchdowns.
2) Penn State preparing for OS but we surpise you with our blitzing defense. Game is tight and OS sneaks out the (W) by 3 points.
Will be a great game to watch. Wish I could travel to Penn State to watch it in person.
That said, I think you guys are looking at an "L" when you leave Happy Valley. I've seen some good posts on this match-up, but one point that seems understated so far is PSU's O-line. We are returning a veteran line who will pass-protect for our QBs to get the ball to our talented and veteran receivers and open holes for some very talented RBs. Our recent down years have coincided with our inability to keep a cohesive, two-deep line available; unless there are a bunch of injuries, I do not see that as a problem area this year for the Lions.
Also, I confess to knowing nothing about your stadium, but be prepared when you get to (our) Beaver Stadium. 107,000 screaming fanatics will definitely disrupt OS' play-calling -- it has happened before and will happen again.
On the other hand, we have areas of inexperience, as noted elsewhere, so I look for a close game. Penn State gets out in front, stays there for the win, but OS keeps it close: 24-17.
"i think both teams suck, looks like another toilet bowl!!! HA HA!! why dont all you guys stop hanging out on this stupid message board and go to your local pub to discuss sports with real human beings instead of referring to eachother by really gay nicknames of your really gay online handles. it amazes me that this is what society has eroded to."
Defines Irony...couldn't do it better, should be a required lesson in school.
Oh, and by the way, I totally see how this "PaternoPower" is a complete joke. Its amazing he is still breathing our air, and hasn't eliminated himself from the gene pool by winning some kind of Darwin Award.

Come on, PaternoPower, do you really advocate people going to bars, with the high probability they will drink and drive? Your sense of altruism is misguided here, my friend, as is your anti-homosexual bias. We are supposed to hate the sin, not the sinner, remember?
Respond to my private post. I think you can make worthwhile contributions, rather than attacking an innocent kind of fun. Lighten up!
