As you all may know WI wasn't even ranked in the top 25 at the beginning of the season. So the question about WI getting respect is answered right there.  It's about time for Bo Ryan and the Badgers to start getting respect. WI, without a doubt deserved a 2 seed but no one should be surprised that they didn't get one. They most likely should have been a 2 over Texas consider their win at Texas. But they lost bad in Raleigh, so for them to be selected over Duke is silly.

I'm actually excited though for the second round match up. It  will either give Michael Flower an opportunity to go against a future top 5 draft pick in O.J. Mayo or we'll get to see The Badgers D, face possibly the best player in college B-Ball an mostly likely the top pick in next years draft in Michael Beasley. Which ever player it is, bring it on , because the Badger will out team yo ass and they slowly frustrate and stop most teams best player.

Anyways go Badgers, nothing like March madness, it really doesn't matter where your seeded it's the team who has 7 wins at the end. To be the best, you must beat the best.

BTW Memphis will win it, that's another team that can't get respect.

Wisconsin is a great team, and maybe they got screwed over a little bit by the committee, but seriously, I'll take a beat up underdog anyday over a pampered poodle who gets everything handed to them.  Maybe the committee did them a favor.

Who cares about all of this? I am a huge Badger fan and no matter what seed we get, I'll take it. The only thing that matters is that you go out and win your games. We were a #2 last year and lost to #7 UNLV in the 2nd round. We were a #8 a few years ago and lost to #9 Arizona in the 1st round. We were a #5 before that and lost to #12 Georgia St in the 1st round. And we were a #8 in 2000 and went all the way to the Final 4 where we lost to #1 and eventual champion Michigan St. So no matter where anybody goes or what their seeding is, anything can happen. Just take your spot and run with it. Stop all this whining and get to work!!! Go Bucky!!

None of you can be serious.  The Big Ten was a joke of a conference this year.  How can anyone be upset with Wisc riding second saddle to Duke who smoked them (by the way, the ACC has DOMINATED the Big 10 for years now, and the ACC is not even the best conference)... can the Big Ten ever win more than 2 or 3 games in the ACC/Big 10 challenge?  Clemson at a 5 seed would probably beat any team in the Big 10: at least they can beat Duke.  Heck, Clemson beat Purdue while missing two starters, and they're only the third best team in the ACC!  I have absolutely no beef with Wisconsin or the Big 10, but anyone who is not happy with a three seed needs his/her head examined.

Final 4

Louisville, Wisconsin, Texas, UCLA

Wisconsin should win it all, but we'll have to wait and see.

ACC might get 1 team in the sweet 16

I don't care what the polls say or the rankings are.  Duke plays in the ACC, which is as good, if not better, than the Big Ten.  Outside of Indiana, Michigan St. Purdue and Wisconsin, there's not much else in that Conference this year, and BY FAR the bottom half of the ACC is better.  Duke lost 5 games - 3 by a total of 6 points, one to North Carolina and basically the only bad game they had was the loss to Wake Forest.  And the simple fact that Duke DESTROYED Wisconsin, says enough.  If I'm on that committee, with similar records and RPI and Duke's SOS is 6 while Wisconsin is 61st?... You'd have to give that edge to Duke.  Why are we even having this argument?

I don't think there is one single #2 seed that wouldn't kill Wisconsin.  You guys beat Texas by a point, but there's been a couple of teams (Texas Tech, A&M, Missouri,  MIchigan St.) that aren't real good that have beaten Texas, so I wouldn't go using them as a catapult for your "WE'RE #2!" Campaign of '08.   I mean should all of those teams get #2 seeds too?

This is the single undeniable fact here... Out of the top 9 teams, Wisconsin has BY FAR the worst schedule.  So you get a 3 seed, end of story.

If anything, Texas should be the team to get bumped down to a 3 seed not Duke, and trust me, I hate Duke, so I'm not biased at all.

I think CSF would've beaten Duke last night the way that dude was able to hit 3's.  If it weren't for Wisconsin's height advantage they would've been in trouble (but also probably wouldn't have been BT champs and a 3-seed either), and Duke doesn't have a ton of height.

I don't think Duke will make it past the sweet 16.  They have to face WVU and then either Purdue or Xavier.  All 3 of those teams are very well matched against the Dookers.

As for Wisconsin's 3-seed, who cares?  They're in the best bracket for them, and assuming they can beat two games they're heavily favored in, it doesn't matter whether they're a 2 or 3, as they'll face the 2 in the 2nd weekend.

Guys, Tennessee  number 1 rpi  number 1  toughest schedule

Road wins    Memphis, Gonzaga, Xavier, West Virginia, Florida, Mississippi State, LSU, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Western Kentucky

Home wins   Ohio State, Temple, Kentucky, Arkansas and all others  ,perfect at home

losses, Texas,, Kentucky  (6 points) ,  Vandy (3 points),  Arkansas (1 point)

I agree Badgers were a 2 seed but not at the expense of the Vols.

Tennessee had 10 wins against the final 64.    The Big Ten is being punished for past years.  No that is not right but thats the NCAA.   Hope the Badgers do well.

Go Vols
