Just like the football season, the basketball team is regressing. What the heck happened to basketball being a team game? If the Cats make it to the tournament, they are going to embarrass themselves, Frank Martin & the Purple Nation. After the past 2 to 3 weeks, I pray that we are left out of the tournament. Maybe this will be a wakeup call to Bill Walker that he needs more time at the collegiate level. We'd love to have you back next year, but you are likely gone. Thanks for the season Mike, make your millions in the NBA.

So you would rather have a NIT team than an NCAA team. That doesn't make any sense to me. Let them get their ass handed to them, but don't leave them out of the tournament. The way the defense started to play against Texas A&M at the end gave me some hope.

This is your team, bro. Take some pride and have some faith in them.

What did the coach of Baylor say? It was something along the lines of them letting Michael Beasley and Bill Walker score all they wanted! Which they obviously did. However that made the contest a 2 vs. 5 game. If I coached any team playing I'd do the exact same thing. As long as my team of 5 scores more than Michael Beasley and Bill Walker I win. Coaches are figuring this out and playing accordingly!

Lunardi has us as a 9 seed playing BYU with a second round game against UCLA.  I like it.  If the Cats are gonna pick it up, now is the time.  Let Beasley and Walker go against some teams that haven't played them before or really know how to scheme a D against them.  I'm really looking forward to the tourney.

Should be interesting! But I'm sure that the teams that haven't played us yet will have an idea how to set up their defense.

IF they make in?  You just embarrassed yourself; they have been a shoe-in for some time now...

Yes they did make it in, but they were no sure thing. At least they didnt deserve to be a sure thing. You cant play like they played in Feb. and expect to be in with no doubts. Don't get me wrong, I thought they had a pretty good chance, but after getting left out last year I wasn't taking anything for granted. I believe the key factor for us getting in, was that the basketball gods wanted to see the Beasley Mayo matchup. Either way, I am very grateful for the bid.

GO STATE!

Since when is an 11 seed a shoe in? We are lucky this was not a year of conference tournament upsets

I'm very happy the Cats are in and i'll be watching on Thursday night. I am happy we didn't get an 8 or 9 seed.

However, if any of you guys were around at the time of  Coach Jack Hartman, you too would be disappointed in the team effort. Here's hoping we can make it to next weekend.

Go Cats

The cats deserve were they are at. Yes they are a young team and yes the depend on Mike alot but that does not mean that the rest of the team didn't work just as hard as he did. They all do and they all deserve this chance. It may be a very ruff learning experince for them but for that young of a team they really do need it.  All young teams need this experince. So shut up and enjoy the fact that they get to play one more time.

I'm a dyed in the wool Jayhawk. I've disliked K-State as long as I can remember, but I will be cheering em on when they play against USC. Frankly, the Big 12 being KU vs Texas isn't fun. The entire conference is talked bad about and  respect is not given to any of our teams. Meanwhile other conferences like the Big East and the ACC are dry humped by the experts.

Having K-State make a run, hopefully to play KU again, would be a great boon for the conference and up the competition. I don't want you guys to beat KU obviously, but K-State beating Georgetown would say a lot not only for them but for the Big 12 as a whole.

Hopefully, see the purple in Detroit against my Hawks.
