You just keep looking into the past to make yourself feel good. OS fans look to the here and now and beyond. From what I have seen in the here and now, if Penn State keeps suspending it's players, they won't have enough players to field a team. How many players have you suspended so far this off season? 7? Let's not forget about the political climate of Joe Paterno's coaching status. Lots of discussions about letting him go or keeping him as coach. That has got to be a distraction. Let's top that off with Penn State starting a new QB and the 2nd game of the season he has to go up against a solid PAC-10 team. OS players have gotten really good at planting green things into the ground. We are after all an agricultural school. Our preferred green is Oregon Ducks but rookie QB's will do just as well. With that type of pressure a rookie QB is going to make mistakes and OS players feel it is their duty, nay their responsibility to educate Penn State players on the error of their ways. Thus why the State of Oregon continues to fund such a pitiful team with it's tax dollars, because they believe everyone deserves a good education, even Penn State players, fans or rookie posters. So you just keep looking at those 28 losing season and OS will keep their eye on the ball and take home the win.
