Do you think Andy Roddick has found his game again?  After taking out Nadal and Djokovic in Dubai, maybe he has something going again.  Or maybe he just had a lucky streak.  What do you think??????

Roddick is definitely on a roll.  He says he is playing his best tennis in a while.  I wasn't able to view these matches but it seems like...

1. His serve is typical Andy - Nuclear
2. His forehand is good and his backhand is improved.

When he is actually hitting backhand winners then I think he can beat anybody including monoFed.  Can he beat Roger without mono?  I don't know.  He still has to prove that one.  Can he win on clay?  Probably not.  Can he win at Wimbledon or the U.S. open?  You better believe it.  Right now I am thinking Andy will win his second major this year.

Andy goes through a streak like this every year... usually its in the Masters series so this is a little early for him which could be good or bad seeing as he never fares well in the French and that could slow him down. I do believe that Roddick is as good as he played this weekend but i just need to see it more often out of him rather then just a few weeks each year. This year tho he has only lost 2 matches and has wins against the likes of Nadal, Djokovic, Mathieu, Baghdatis, Ljubici, and Stepanek all top 30 players. He looks to be in command of his serve and his whole game this will be an interesting year to see if Roddick is for real or not.

I think Roddick will do well at the French (Quarters) and then continue to have a great year and find himself in the finals of the U.S. Open.  If Roger is there he will probably be S.O.L, but if Roger goes down Andy might get his second slam.  He is our best U.S. player and as a tennis fan who watches the Cyprians, Serbs, Spaniards, and Swiss wave their flags, I am really happy to see Andy doing so well.

Go Andy go! It seems he has not had that killer instinct to put himself over the top. Maybe dropping Connors has given him a much needed spark that he has been lacking. But it sure has to help that Fed isn't on top of his game right now. Whatever the case may be, you will see him give everything he has because the window is closing. He has even passed on the Olymics to gear up for the U.S. open this summer.

It was indeed a sign of life for Andy.  He beat two of the best players in the world in the past week and had a great run the week before that in winning a tournament.

Andy did have the benefit of not having to face Federer & in addition he had the benefit of playing on FAST hardcourts.  Both of which play well to his serve and forehand.

Now that Roddick is back on a SLOW hard court, he is ousted by Tommy Haas.  You just can't figure out Roddick.

There is noway he will make a run at the French Open.  He simply doesn't move well enough.  Like most American Men, his game is built around his serve and power...he won't be able to compete on the clay at Roland Garros.  He will however make a run at Wimbledon this year.

I think its just a hot streak.  In a few weeks reality will set in and he still won't win another grand slam.  I like Roddick but I don't think he has it in him.  There are too many players better than him.
