O.k.....this thread is really for fans of the show "Lost". I decided to start it here because nobody ever comes to this freakin' board so I'm using it for this so I don't waste time with it on the popular boards like college/Pro football and basketball where I'm usually posting.

So here it is. What the absolute hell is going on with this show? Does anybody have any thoughts about what they think is happening? I've been watching the HD versions on the ABC website where they have the pop-ups that give you some extra info...but I still have no idea what's going on.

Any idea's or thoughts?

What you need to know weegdog? I've seen every episode, which is kind of funny, because I've only caught a handful on TV. I watched them all online at this site.

http://abc.go.com/streaming/landing

Gotta click on Full Episodes at the top, then the season of Lost you want. Then you can pick the episode when it loads.

Any specific questions? Or just general stuff?

As of right now it seems that Ben was lying about the people coming to the island. They aren't trying to kill everyone, although saving them isn't their main objective anyway. They are after Ben so Ben wants them dead.

Also, Ben made a deal with Locke to not be a captive by telling him whose boat it was and who his spy on the boat is. We don't know who it is though, only Locke and Ben do.

This happened all in the last episode. Anything else?

I'm hooked on Lost as well.

If Ben knows that Sayid is on the boat right now, I think he does, and per an earlier episode this year in which Ben is stitching up Sayid in the future..... I think Sayid is the spy.

How awesome was the episode where Desmond did the time travelling and ended getting to call Penny. That made my day...which is really, really sad to admit.

I still wonder about that black fog in season one, the trees moving and stuff, and ghost/spirit/whatever in the cabin at end of last season.

I was hooked on Lost the first two seasons and then I lost touch with Lost.  lol  Times changed, days changed and I still do not know what day and time it comes on anymore.  I will be so lost when I get back in touch with it but it was a great show and I'd like to see it again and who are the new people on it and find out who was killed since I last saw it.  The last time I watched it they had discovered another society living on the island and people were disappearing.  How far have I lost touch?

That is an awesome idea. I hadn't thought about that possibility. I personally think Michael is the spy, because he is in this season somewhere, and I think coming back as a spy would be a great re-entrance and would make sense since Ben did let him and his son go. And when  Michael took off, maybe Ben knew that the boat would find him.

The Sayid possibility is very intriguing, but I think Ben said he had a spy on their even before Sayid left the island so that might not be the case.

How awesome was the episode where Desmond did the time travelling and ended getting to call Penny. That made my day...which is really, really sad to admit.

Don't feel sad man. I'm so with you. That is one of my favorite episodes ever of Lost. I thought it was awesome too, and I might have gotten something in my eye at the end of the epsiode because it watered up a bit.

That episode was called the Constant. Hehe I call my girlfriend this now, My constant. Lame I know. But she likes it.

I still wonder about that black fog in season one, the trees moving and stuff, and ghost/spirit/whatever in the cabin at end of last season.
The black fog? I'm guessing you mean the monster? It's still not been determined definitely, but it has been described as the security system for the island. I think it's some spirit/force that judges people and protects the island. Thus why Locke is alive after encountering it and others have died.

The spirit thing in the cabin was Jacob. I was watching that episode late at night and I got soooo freaked out. I'm with you on that one. Don't understand it yet. Ghost maybe? Or perhaps a real person who is more intune with the island and can use its forces to hide himself?

We'll have to wait.

Hey razorwolf. Long time no see.

You have missed a lot and should catch up on the episodes. Each season is better than the last, with season 3 being my favorite so far, although season 4 is shaping up to be very good.

Look at my first post on this thread. It has the website to watch all the past episodes. Try to catch up. It took me about 3 weeks starting at episode one to catch up to season 4. Since you already saw a lot of them you can start wherever you left off.

Good luck.

Hey everybody. This is great. I'm not the only "Lost" nerd out there. Yeah I have been watching the episodes online as well. This is how I got caught up with part of season 1 that I missed.

If you guys go online you can catch the episode that usually precedes the new episode on Thursdays. You know that hour before. It's not a re-run exactly. It has pop ups (at least the ones on line are) that give some extra info and let you follow what's going on a little closer.

For example....the episode where Desmond was time traveling...and he found Penny's father at the auction. They were auctioning a ledger from an old Pirate ship....which was the ship landlocked on the island. Penny's father won the auction for the Captain's ledger (remember this is suppose to be 8 years earlier due to the time travel).

In the last episode where Locke let Ben go...Ben showed Locke the video of the man after him....It was Charles Whitmore....Penny's Dad who bought the ledger. So we can start to see how things are linked. I would not have had a clue about this had I not seen the pre-episode reruns online with the popups. They were very helpful.

Oh and you found out why the Dharma Project was launched from this as well and I have a theory about the original "others" from this as well.

I like everyones theories as well. Yeah I had thought the same thing about Sayid being the spy as well. I also thought about how...with the time travel thing being used now...that either Michael or even Walt were found by Whitmore and they were used to try and find the island again...and they could also be Ben's spy...as ya'll said.

Dang this is gettin' good.

I freakin' love this show.

I may bump my post on the college football and basketball boards just to see if anyone else might want to chime in...sometimes the posts get run out pretty fast because of all the recent posts and it gets hard to find or catch.

I too am a huge fan of LOST.  My cousin is a writer for the sow... so I was hooked from the start.  NO, he has not told me ANYHTING.  I think it is great...  actually makes you think.

I think that the island is a "time machine"?  And when they were hitting the button, it brought them back in time.  Now that they are no longer doing that... they are catching up with "real time".  If you remember, the people on the hele thought 20 had passed... but the people on the island thought it was a day and a 1/2.  So... they have not been on the island nearly as long as they thought.

We will see... this week should be very good!

Good thoughts.

I think the time thing has more to do with traveling back and forth to the island though. I would suspect that time is warped when approaching the island. This would explain why time doesn't match up on and off the island. Plus it would explain the problem with the sunlight that Farrady had mentioned, as it would be warped by the space-time anomalies.

We might be thinking the same thing though and just explaining it differently.

I just installed the viewer so I could watch the episodes I have missed and it stalled out on me during the sample video.  Ugh.  I need to see if it is my firewall messing with it as I am sure it is.

Weird. You sure it wasn't just taking a while to download?

I didn't have that problem so I'm not sure. You're right though, it could be your firewall.

Good luck.

It's way worth it razorwolf. If you have kids like me you can just pop on the ole headphones and watch it in HD right there. It's pretty sweet. I watched the entire first year last week.

Hey Rec...welcome onboard.

I like your theory.

Has anyone noticed how Ben aged on the island...but when he was young he met one of the original inhabitants...can't remember his name. But now that Ben is grown, that same inhabitant still hasn't aged.

Also, from one of the first years episodes that I watched again...do you guys remember when Jack found the fresh water supply and there was an "Adam" and an "Eve" body remains at the water supply....kind of like the Garden of Eden?

This all kind of makes me think about how, with now the pirate ship being brought back into play, that those original inhabitants are actually the survivors from that pirate ship...who have lived this long, on the island because to them maybe it's just been a year or so.....dang this is driving me crazy....my head's exploding.

Pirate ship....Adam and Eve....maybe a fountain of youth spilled in there.....Arrrrggggggg!!!

Yeah Razor...when I first tried to watch them it was hard to figure out because the screen that pops up is not the screen that you watch the actual show on. Look above the right hand corner of the pop up video screen to see if you see a ticker counting down. If you do then when it hits zero...click on this to start the actual video.

It was tricky the first time I tried too. But it may be your firewall.

That puzzled me too. I wasn't sure to look into it too much, because it could be just the case that the guy was supposed to be younger than he looked. We have a frame of reference with Ben (him starting there as a kid) so it was easy to see he aged. However we don't have a good frame of reference with Richard (the guy your talking about), so it might just be our viewpoint that is skewed.

Good thought though as it very might well be the case.
