	YBW...don't know much about Gerke either. So far as I know, he has no ties to Hawai`i. The same goes for Dave Aranda (DE coach). As a grad assistant at Texas Tech, Aranda was mentored by Coach Mack who was the Def. Coord. at the time. The rest of the coaching staff have local ties...either born and raised in Hawai`i or were former UH players.

	Yoko, good question. Who knows how Gerke will fit in or last at Hawai'i. The same goes for Aranda, time will tell if they will make it or not. Now that Mac has taken over and put together his staff I am glad that June is gone and I look forward to the next season. No need to Book 'em................... they booked.

	I think they'll have no problems getting acclimated. They both have the desire and enthusiasm that will bring energy to the coaching staff and will embrace the great people and culture that makes Hawai`i unique. They will quickly learn that the Warriors are not just UH's team...they are the State of Hawai`i's team...
