There is still hope for Spring Football!!! Dont give up. The news media, ABC/ESPN, CBS and Fox are trying to kill off our league with negative reports. They areent impartial, they all have ties to the NFL. I wouldnt be surprised if the NFL and the news media were involved in trying to cut off financing to the AAFL. They want to protect their monopoly and stop the dream of a second professional football league.
Its not over yet. Work continues to progress toward the AAFL's first season. Marcus Katz, league CEO, stated that discussions continue with several prospective investors and that negotiations for broadcast coverage of AAFL games continue to move forward. The start of preseason training camps will be delayed briefly during this process, with the intent that the League’s games will kick off on April 12, 2008. There is sitll hope.
