I wouldn't say that this league is trying to compete with the NFL. I think of it more like a place for players that didn't get a shot to have one. Who knows, maybe the next stud QB comes from this league.

There is a place for Spring Football.  There are many college players who just didnt make to the NFL or those who might need a little extra work.  This is a chance for them to play some football in a pro league and bring back some of that old college magic.
