	Why not turn it into a minor league NFL where teams can have a player tied to their organization. Make it a developmental league in smaller markets. They could broadcast games on the NFL network during the spring and summer, and would provide those players that weren't impressive at the combine a chance to show teams that they have talent and could be useful assets in the "Big League".

	It makes sense for the NFL to get involved. They keep trying to expand oversees, but there is still this new market that they can take advantage of here where there is actually a demand for football.

	IS THAT NOT WHAT THE NFL-EUROPE HAD BEEN ALL NFL TEAMS HAD PLAYERS SPREAD OUT IN THE LEAGUE I DO BELEIVE THAT THE NFL-EUROPE HAD STARTED OUT AS THE WORLD LEAGUE OF AMERICAN FOOTBALL AND THERE WERE TEAMS IN BOTH THE US AND IN EUROPE BUT I COULD BE WRONG JUST MY THOUGHTS

	Two problems... First, NFL Europe was essentially a minor league that was attached to the NFL. Teams assigned developmental players to Europe, with a few actually making it "to the big show." The NFL's money wasn't enough to sustain the league. Second, there is still one minor league system in place - the NCAA.

	I think it would be a great idea for the NFL. I think if it were structured in such a way that there were only a handful of teams and teams could recall players as they do in MLB. I think this would be great for teams that have those tough cuts in the preseason roster cuts. It would also help them when a team is depleting by a rash of injuries and such. It'll only work with NFL backing and it has to be kept a small league with no more than six teams.

	I think its a great idea. the NFL Europe worked for a little bit, but honestly was it that popular. I know it had some success over there, but if you put a minor league NFL system it will work out great. Now players that didnt get drafted will have a place to possibly go, and the NFL can send its project players back. Also the AFL should try to make some sort of merger with the NFL. i know some teams have, but every team should try to make it their own minor league system.

	I really like this idea Brvsrbck.... anyway, someone said washed up players, and scoffed at their ability to keep another league in business... perhaps with the void left during the offseason, there is a market for some type of football entertainment... I like the minor league idea... Bill Polian has signed many undrafted rookie free agents, and a minor league may even prove to be an asset to the NFL.

	There's no question, Brvsbck, that that's what the AAFL wants. They've said that they want to replace NFL Europe, and that's basically how NFL Europe worked. It's just that the NFL isn't currently interested in backing a minor league after NFL Europe went bust. The idea of the AAFL was to develop enough that they could get NFL support and then make the big bucks.
