Guys come on, I hear no love for the ladies of power. I believe they are the stories and will be the stories as better equipment and sponsorships kick in.. Erica Enders story, Rhonda Smith and Taws are among some of many faces changing American Racing scenes. The image of a sweaty smelly rednecks has been replaced by power marketing monsters. I know you dudes and dudettes are going to crush me, but come on its better racing when the ladies are deep in it. The scene of NHRA was very closed minded by the public and I believe that image is what is keeping the sport from being on National Non ESPN TV weekly... Yeah i know Speed but CBS, and especially FOX needs to be more involved in Broadcasting these awesome rides... Need any help call me a FAN of Power Sports even if I have know idea who the players are...

There are currently 3 Ladies in the TF and FC classes this year ... Ashley Force (FC), Melaine Troxel (FC), and Hillary Will (TF).  There is another Lady in TF but doesn't have a sponsor right now: Jessie Harris (she also drives a Jet-power dragster.

There has been zero Ladies running in the Pro Stock Class so far this year ... Erica Enders competed last year but only on a limited schedule due to sponsorship problems.

As for the Pro Motorcycle class: They have the most Ladies of any of the Pro classes at 4 ... Angelle Sampey, Peggy Llewellyn, Karen Stoffer, Connie Cohen.  The motorcycles hasn't raced this year so that number may grew or decrease due to sponsorship problems.

In the future, there are a whole bunch of Ladies running in the sportsman classes. Leah Pruett tested a FC at Indy.  Lindsey Woods dropped back into the Super Comp class after running A/F Dragsters.  Brittney and Courtney Force are running A/F Dragsters this year. The Harker twins are also.  Alexis De Joria is running TA Funny Cars.

There are many more Ladies in the sportsman classes and are too many to be named right now.  But the 7 in the previous paragraph are just the ones that I can remember off the top of my head.

I think Drag racing is the most exciting racing series around. And you have to give lots of credit to the women that drive the nitro classes. I was watching a show a few years back. They had Capps, and 2 nascar drivers. The nascar drivers invited Capps to drive their car, he said, great, that would be fun. He invited both nascar drives the same. Both said "hell no" thats too much car for me to handle. And now there are women driving monsters that nascar drivers won`t even attempt to.
The thing I hate about the NHRA is qualifing... used to be the quickest 16, now thats not the case. Any thoughts about this?

Isn't Courtney Force driving TA this year?Courtney and Britney Force are driving the A/Fuel Dragster ... Darien & Meadows ... the same team that Ashley drove for.  But they are sharing the car since it cost more to run than the Super Comp dragsters.
