Are my eyes playing tricks on me? Did you actually score 62 points in a loss? That has to be an NCAA record! UNBELIEVABLE! Was it an OT game?

Yes, your eyes don't lie. NT scored 62 points and lost. That is why Ron Mendoza, the defensive coordinator, is coaching at Cedar Hill (TX) High School now. Todd Dodge brought in Gary DeLoach for his second tenure at NT. He was the DB coach at UCLA the past five years.

He had a top 20 defense when he was at North Texas the first time around. Mean Green fans are hoping for something similar again. If DeLoach delivers then NT should be back at the top of the Sun Belt again.
