This looks like a wide open race for the MAC East. Does Solich have a replacement for your RB.

Good Luck in 2008

No replacement for McRae, have a copule of freshmen and a jc transfer.  It will be a tough go for the Bobcats they play 6 of their first 8 games on the road, playing @ Wyoming, Ohio State and Northwestern.  Hopefully they will not be beat up too much going into the MAC schedule.

The schedule is indeed brutal!  Re: the running game...The freshmen apparently have "the moves" but neither size nor experience.  While it seems a bit out of character, the 'Cats are probably going to be using the spread, if only as a decoy for what any Frank Solich team wants to do: control the ball and shorten the game.  But if Boo Jackson is as good as the rating services project him, they will have a QB who can direct a passing game.

That ooc sched  is actually even tougher than it looks. Wyoming and Northwestern are both improved teams over the last few years. I dont know what to tell you about the Ohio State trip except go to the game and enjoy the venue. I remember when Ball State played at Florida when Spurrier was still there. 99 I think. That S.O.B. opened the game with an on side kick with them being 38 point favorites. What a jerk.

Good luck in the East. One of the top AM sports talk radio guys out here in Southern Cal went to Ohio U. Lee "Hacksaw" Hamilton. He mentions it from time to time, although no body out here gives a ratts ass about the MAC. Thats ok.... we will all have a nice season this year with plenty of National TV coverage.

Cheers from Ball State !
