The Sin Bin! Fantasy Hockey League is looking for 2 owners for our expansion teams for the 2008-2009.
We are a full keeper league running through CBS Sportsline Fantasy Hockey and 2008-2009 will be the SBFHL's third season. In season 1 we started off with 8 teams; season 2 we expanded to 10 teams; season 3 we will be expanding again to 12 teams. Cost to play is only 20.00 with the overall winner grabbing 80 bucks and runner up grabbing 40 bucks. Our 2 expansion teams are the Edmonton Outlaws and the Oshawa Inferno. The team were named through a contest on our forums with the winners getting cash for coming up with the best team names. As such we are firm on the team names so they cannot be changed. However to fill the rosters of Edmonton & Oshawa we will be holding a 20- round expansion draft and a 5- round prospects expansion draft. These teams also get the #1 and #2 in the 2008-2009 entry draft meaning that one of these teams will be surely grab Steve Stamkos.
We have fine tuned our scoring system again since 2 years of game play has given us enough time to put together a unique and dynamic scoring system. A lot of work has been put into this league and we are all competitive but at the same time we have a lot of fun too. We are looking for super-active owners since setting your lines everyday is mandatory and enforced. We have a league message board and owners are encouraged to get involved and stay active in the community. If you cannot set your lines everyday than this is not the league for you. We had 38 trades this season between our 10 teams which can give you sort of an idea of how active we are. I am looking to find owners A.S.A.P because we will hold our 2nd expansion about a month after the playoffs end. Our league and message board are active year round. If you are interested in joining us please contact me. I feel that we are an established league now so we will be a bit more picky about finding new owners than we have been in the past. I would like to find 2 guys with some solid fantasy hockey experience.
