Most of you posting on this thread are also the same types of idiots who will believe that Barack Obama is either a Muslim and/or anti-American simply because he doesn't have an Anglo-sounding name. Far too many jello-brained people living in America's "heartland" will believe the same thing, and flock to the polls to vote for McCain simply because they hear Obama's middle name uttered 1,799 times in republican ads leading up to the general election. THATS one good reason why this country is well on its way down the toilet, and will be kissing China's butt in less than 100 years.

Ummm, NO...this is what you THINK...not what you know. Just like idiots who "know" that there's a God, and that "his" name is Jesus, or Allah, or Jehovah, or whoever. None of those idiots KNOWS anything about God, or the afterlife anymore than you KNOW any of the things you wrote. It is quite pathetic when people pass off their personal beliefs and opinions as indisputable fact.
Not once did I mention a God. These are, for the most part, issues that have directly lead to the down-fall of previously great societies, and now ours.
I BELIEVE that you are an idiot, who has closeted racist beliefs that you cowardly cloak with inane posts like the one I am responding to. No, let me alter that. I KNOW that you are an idiot..
Nice. For the record, can you back-up your reasoning as to why i'm a "racist"?
...just like all the fools posting on this thread who believe that the poor suckers giving their lives, body parts, and souls for an illegal war started to fatten the pockets of Bush allies with Halliburton and the oil companies are actually fighting for something worthwhile.
Bush gets the same salary for peacetime. And surly someone as "educated" as you knows that Iraq retains their "oil money". Furthermore... I just paid 3.15 for a gallon of gas. I WISH this was about oil...
The war that was righteous and correct was the one in Afghanistan....thats where the terrorists were. The one in Iraq was/is/always will be bullshiznit, and I have complete and total empathy for the military suckers putting their lives on the line for $1,000 per month, when the soulless bastards fighting for firms like Blackwater do the same thing for 100 times that, while these poor bastards get to drink filthy, unpurified water that Halliburton/KBR get a million dollars a day NOT to do!!!!!
Even an E-1 doesn't make a mere 1,000 dolors a month. Regardless, there are terrorists in Iraq. Many more than Afghanistan. In regards to "Blackwater"... They do things that the Military doesn't have the time, or manpower for. Guard details, etc... The reason why they are paid quite a bit more, is because they are civilians, more highly skilled then your avg soldier, and are much more at risk because they don't have the same assets as the Army. These guys (I worked for BW in Louisianna) are in much more danger than your avg soldier, at any given time.
p.s... I was in Iraq for over a year, and drank bottled water the entire tour. Anyone complaigning about "accomodations" is spoiled, and must have forgotten they are FIGHTING A WAR.

You know what.. There's no point in replying to any of your posts. Disregard my last. You obviously don't have the intelligence, class, or composure to discuss these issues.

I guess I am a little partial on people who are WVU Fans or are from West Virginia. One thing we have to remember is that we all have opinions some we like others we do not. That is why the military does what it does so people can voice their opinion whether or not we like or agree with it.
As a Corpsman of Marines you find out things are a bit different right after boot camp and your basic school. You leave Great Lakes, ILL and head for Camp Johnson, NC (Right Beside Camp Lejeune) and all of a sudden you feel like you are back in Boot Camp Again but this time the wrong one. You enter the Navy and the Medical side of the house and you end up with this Green Uniform walking 30 miles with a 40 or more LB pack on your back going my Recruiter Did not tell me anything about this. (You are hating life and have a real strong opinion on it in the beginning) You also wonder why the heck we are walking when you have a motor pool full of working vehicles. Then you find out that Navy Corpsman if they are good are the best DAMN Thing since Sliced Bread to a Marine Unit especially a Grunt Unit. You become one of them in your mannerisms your thoughts and your way of life. The Navy is no longer really part of you. You are not a Marine according to official Marine Corps Records but you are to those Marines and you are protected and treated well.
I do not always like what people say but I do respect their opinion be it in my opinion a bad one or not. It is theirs and they are entitled to it.

Been having some debates on a few threads about the saying "I support the troops but not the war" that many liberals use. I personally think its is a B.S. statement and they don't support the troops. Many soldiers I know feel the same way. What do ya'll think?
I think it's VERY possible for somebody to genuinely support active duty, reserve, guard and retired military personnel while not claiming to support war. People know that while serving in the military you don't ask questions. You do what you're told, period. A citizen can hold the utmost respect for a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine or Coast Guradsman. That doesn't eman they have to foam at the mouth at the mention of war.
HOWEVER.........some of these people simply fail to inform themselves. Our occupation of Iraq has blinded people. Should we be there? No. Did something good come of our presence? Well, yeah. An evil dictator is gone, never to kill or terrorize again. Should we leave now that he's gone? If you're the kind of person who gets a thrill out of kicking over an ant hill then watching the chaos you've created then yes. We should leave as soon as possible and let them rebuild their country like a colony of ants rebuilds their mound. The only trouble is these people don't bond well enough to work together for a common good. They'll fight to the death over who gets to tend the eggs. Wide-spread famine would follow for the fact that nobody will agree as to who collects food and who rebuilds. They will never agree on who gets to be the Queen's guardians. They won't even be able to determine a Queen! How can we just turn our backs now that we've created such a mess?
Yes. We have created a mess. That is an invariable fact. But lets take a look at WHY we've created that mess. We were attacked......sucker punched by a bunch of damned cowards. THAT is our justification for creating a LOT of large holes in Afganistan. Iraq? Well, I honestly can't justifiy why we went into Iraq. Some claim it to be a personal vendetta. Others insist it was necessary to ensure the safety of western society. What do you think? What does he think? What does she think? It doesn't matter what any of us think. What matters is that somehow this ordeal is resolved and our men and women come home. That's what I think.
I am a veteran and I'm proud of the fact that I did what millions of Americans will never be able to say they did. I answered the call and defended our country. Some may think what I've just said is cheesy. I don't.

I used to send my newbies to supply and elsewhere to get a box of "grid squares" for land navigation class! lol Tank track tensioner in the spray can was also big!! Being Light Infantry, we'd do ruck marches every Friday for PT. Usually 50 or so pounds, 6-10 miles. Whenever we would get cherries, we'd tell them to pack 100 pounds, and then strike off at break-neck speed. What they didn't know, was that we all actually just took our wet-weather bags, and blew them up, to look like we all actually had the full packing list. We'd be halling @#$, all the while yelling at the poor pvt because he was falling behind. Then, when we would get back to the Company, we'd all deflate our ww bags, right in front of him....

Aggie man.........that's some funny stuff!
I was patrolling our munitions storage area with a pipeliner one night (around 2am) when we approached bunker 36. I had him walk around B36 while I checked the door to the facility. What he didn't know is that I had a green glow stick in my cargo pocket. I snapped it, shook it and hacked it in half with my knife and yelled at the top of my lungs GAS GAS GAS!!!!! By the time he got back to the cruiser I was in the driver's seat with my gas mask on driving away. He was chasing me. Since he didn't have his equipment with him we all got an added bonus.........this kid started taking all his clothes off all while trying to run like hell. By the time he got to me.......and four other patrolmen he had his underwear and one sock on. But in all the fright and fear he STILL had his M-16! After we finished laughing our butts off we helped him collect his clothes. Ahhhhh the memories:)
