Although I haven't always been a Gator fan, my passion for the team is second to none. I was born in Illinois and lived there my whole life until I attended college at the University of Florida. I don't miss a game. When games end, I flip on the radio for post-game news conferences. In the offseason, I scour the net looking for info on whom the Gators will be bringing in. I'm not even sure what my life would be like without my Gators. There won't be a poster with a better combination of passion and knowledge than me.

I would love a chance to represent the University of Louisville in this tournament. I was born and raised a Cardinal fan. My very first memory of Louisville basketball was the origional "Dream Game" between Louisville and Kentucky in 1983 (I was about 6). On the line was a trip to the final four. Denny Crum vs. Joe B. Hall. Joe B. Hall and U.K. administration had refused to schedule Louisville and refered to us as "Little Brother". Well thanks to the selection committee Little Brother exacted revenge on our bully of and older brother and advanced to the final four. The 12 Point victory over the vaunted Big Blue advanced Louisville to its third final four in four years. That was then, this is now. The 2007-2008 Cardinals have me just as excited as when I was that 6 year old in 1983. At the time of this post the Cardinals are 24-6 overall and 14-3 in the Big East. We head in to a matchup on the road next Saturday at Georgetown for the regular season Big East title. We have won 9 games in a row and are projected as a 2 to 4 seed in the tourney. With our defense and depth we WILL advance to the final four and try for our third NCAA Championship.

Corrections to this post:
In the East, I am replacing Illinois St. with Arizona as the 12 seed. I am switching Maryland and UNLV but Virginia Tech may soon be replacing Maryland.
In the West, I am pitting Clemson now with UMass, Kansas St. with Davidson, and Drake with UAB.
In the Midwest, #6 Michigan St. is now playing #11 Illinois St.
In the South, #5 Butler is playing either #12 Florida or Kentucky and #6 Gonzaga is playing #11 New Mexico.

I admit am addicted. Rock Chalk Jayhawk! Born and raised in Kansas, in a farm town just outside Lawrence. Earliest memories were hearing my dad talk of Wilt Chamberlain, while we listened to games on radio, with the legendary Max Falkenstein calling the games.
Jo Jo White was our star then. Later attended college there, finally graduated the same year KU returned to the NCAA finals, with Danny Manning, '88.
Live in New Delhi, India now, and have to wake up usually 3am to listen to games on internet, just like my early days.
Ready for Final Four in '08!

Why are we posting brackets here? This is a forum to enter posters to represent their schools right Joe? You write an entry 100 words or less as to why you should be the one to represent YOUR school and one board member will be chosen. Depending on the writing of your entries will depend on how far your team will get in this challenge? Based upon the judging categories with grammar, spelling, et al or do I have this completely wrong?

I have always been a fan of the University of Dayton Flyers. Born there, thats where the roots are and I sticking to them. Though they probably won't make the tourney this year. Still sticking with the home team!

I am not only a resident of Connecticut but I am a probably the biggest Uconn Husky fan around.I have followed "my team" from the bottom of the Big East to downtown hartford and the parade following the first national championship where, like a kid in a candy store,I found myself screaming for Richard Hamilton to sign my shirt(which he did).As I got older I thought i was over my "crush",yet there I was at the alumni all-star game with that same exitement, this time directed at Rudy Gay,I guess a love affair this strong doesn`t die too easily.

The Uconn Huskies the Yankees of the Big East.We always get the best players, got the best coach, the most championships(regular season and tourney), almost always go farther in the NCAA`s and undoubtedly have the best fans.Watch how we turn the Garden into our "home court" in the BE tourney. The days of Syracuse and Georgtown being the face of the league has been over for a while now and yet with all that pressure we are able to maintain a level of success that rivals any big time program you can think of.Let the UNC`s and the Duke`s of the world get the praise,we just want the prize, that`s what Uconn is about. So to all those that sleep on us you may be in for a rude awakening.

Even on this tragic day my heart holds red, black, and gold. It was potentially the worst loss in Maryland history but we will prevail. From birth, my love for Maryland has been everlasting. And an historic loss can never change that. I have lived through the brightest moment with the 2002 National Championship and the darkest days, such as today. Even when life seems empty, Maryland and college basketball are here to stay. Our hopes are ever slimming but my extreme optimism gets in the way.
M-A-R-Y-L-A-N-D MARYLAND WILL WIN!!!!!!

I look forward to the competition. I will attempt to represent UC Santa Barbara. While attending I enjoyed very mediocre success as a slow, undersized pivotman on the Basketball Team. However, I enjoyed surfing adjacent to the campus, as well as in the streets of the student community when it rained (not much drainage), Keggers, great music (it was the mid-70's), and absolutely the most awesome sights that a young man could process. Oops, I digress. UCSB now has the 'Thunderdome' to host visiting squads and is good, but perhaps not efficient enough to make the 64+1. The tenure at this University is, however, an 'Elite Eight' experience.

Count me in!!!! I am a huge Uconn Huskies fan and still say that the 1999 Title over Duke is my favorite sports moment ever.....We shocked the world....as Khalid El-Amin said!!!! We have one of the best coaches in the country, a stingy "D", and good inside play. If the outside shooting gets hot you better watchout and pay notice to the Huskies in '08!!!
