Thanks for stealing my idea WITHOUT the credit, CBS. LOL

Gotta love it.

Ah, well. If I remember my rules right, if my team doesn't make the tourney it doesn't matter. I'm out.

Is that correct??

Kentucky...where can I start?

I remember watching the opening rounds of basketball back in the mid 90s. We expected to win. It wasn't even supposed to be close in '96. We were the single most talented team to ever hit a College court and, in Kentucky, we knew it.

I also remember the 2003 season with Tubby Smith at the helm. 26 straight wins and a perfect 16-0 SEC season. Once again we expected to win.

And so it continues...the story of Wildcat hoops. Expected success backed up with results. The likes of 7 National Titles.

Woooo Pig Sooie! What else is there to say? The Arkansas Razorbacks represent exactly what the Southwest stood for in the 80’s and 90’s. Featuring great players including “The Triplets”, and great shooters like Thurman, Bradley, and Williamson. One of the most exciting playing styles (40 Minutes of Hell) and coaches Nolan Richardson.  The Razorbacks have revived the program that brought National Attention to “The Hill”. Look for Weems and Co. to make a run at this years tourney, they bring senior leadership to March Madness, not many other teams can offer that. I am Hog Wild for those Razorbacks!

The Indiana Hoosiers. My family and I are alll from Indiana.  My dad grew up there then joined the air force then had me I never grew up in Indiana but in between the dozens of times of moving state to state country to country we visited our family back home.  Becouse I was born there and my family is there I take pride in saying Im a hoosier fan. Me moving around so much I don't meet many people from Indiana but when I do we take some beers down and talk hoosier basketball.

The North Carolina Tar Heels. The tradition they have is unbeliveable and the players they have are great. Tyler Hansbrough and Ty Lawson are looking to lead the Heels to the national championship this year and I think they have a good shot at it. With Roy Williams coaching, anything can happen. This team has heart, determination, and the will to win. I love when they beat Duke.

My favorite team is Maryland and I'm throwing my hat into the race!

Here's why I feel they are worthy of my fandom. They may not be a perennial powerhouse like Duke or UNC but they consistently put out good to great teams for one reason. Amazing coaching. How many teams can say that they run an effective full court defense? We sure can. Coach Gary Williams always has a fire in his eye and it makes his players fired up for every game. I just can't see myself rooting for anyone else....ever!

Unfortunately, my earliest memory of the 'Cats was Christian Laettner catching a full court bomb from Grant Hill and dumping it in at the buzzer. But since then I have been hopelessly devoted to watching every UK game and changing the channel everytime I see the replay of that shot. The Cats have had multiple different kinds of teams. The Pitino teams stocked full of All-Americans, or Tubby Smith's overacheiving players who were successful in their own right.

"They had it before you, they had it during you, and they'll have it when you're gone" -   Al McGuire on UK

I'm a Maryland Fan and I love the Terp's because, in a conference with Duke and N.C., they always imitate Rocky!

The Terp's don't get the "Apollo Creeds" of the Mcdonald's All Americans, they're not flashy, but they take on the entitled champs and deliver the knockout year after year, and with 7 victories against #1 ranked teams they play like their coach...Tough!

Always the underdog for the title, they represent the blue collar nature of the Maryland suburbs while instilling the unwavering belief that Maryland will always slay the dragon.

Btw, 2001/2002 was so...SWEET!

Proud Terp Nation!

I can remember the first time I saw a Carolina game in person.  Just standing there in the Smith Center it seemed as if I were dreaming. Indeed Carolina Blue runs through my veins and by the way Piratefan08 your family taught you well.
