Shuless Joe how do we find out who gets in? On this thread?
-----------------
After the official NCAA bracket is announced, we'll probably replace this thread with one for first round essays. That thread will obviously have links to the bracket, results blog and tournament page...at least that's our plan at the moment.

I'm not in but I thought I'd offer up this hint...

If you're going to write your essay in word, once you have it finished, do a copy and paste to notepad. Then copy and paste it from notepad to the forum. Keeps you from having to clean it up on the site.

I'm a huge Florida Gators fan. I've watched every game since I was young. Two years ago we had nobody back and had no hope for a title but started 17-0. The Gators then soared through the NCAA Tournament and won the national championship. Then instead of going back to school they did what I wish a lot more athletes would do, they came back TOGETHER and for each other. I have a basketball signed by then all. Those 5 (last year's title team) will always be my team, forever. Florida basketball is the best thing on the planet.

I am a HUGE Arizona State fan because I live right by the college and that is where most of my family has went. They deserve a spot in the tournament because they have outstanding talent and WILL pull off some major upsets in the tourny.

i have always been a fan of the wvu mountaineers, ever since they got kevin pittsnoggle to score all the points and make the passes to the other players. now they have bob huggins and he is teaching the players to win the games again. this year they will make the tournament and they will have good chance to win the trophy. that is why i should be the person that writes the essays so that the eers can win.

will there be a trophy for the winner?

Go Orange

Syracuse athletics is my life. I have to sit through all the SU football games LIVE as a season ticket holder. If you want to know what that is like, that a long nail and shove it in your ear slowly, that is the feeling at an SU football game.

We got screwed last year as we should have been in, but i made it to all the NIT games including the largest NIT crowd ever.

I dream of Sherman Doulgas oops to Derrick Coleman.

I dream of Micheal Owens around the end for 2 to take us to the Sugar Bowl.

I dream of Hak's block to bring the championship home.

EASE MY PAIN!!!!

Being a Tennessee Basketball Fan seems pretty popular of late. True Fandom is testing and has been a lonely club, the last twenty or so years. I have been in the Arena when the crowds numbered 2,000 or less, and as well recently when the Arena was packed with 20,000+. I am an enthralled Vol Fan, and never seeking a reprieve when it got rough, and it did. I enjoy the company and will always be a voice for my Vols. Times will be rough down the road, and to remain loyal during those times, are make these moments of success, more wonderful!!

Go Vols!!!

The MSU Spartans exemplify life as it truly is. Triumphant highs. Devasting lows. Hugs, tears, screams and shouts. Integrity and passion infused into the team by the coach. The Spartans make things exciting in mid-Michigan. I do know they will never stop trying. They brighten my evenings, and strap me captive to the LaZboy on Saturdays while the driveway remains unshoveled. Izzo sitting Naymick, Neitzel and Morgan. Izzo inserting Suton, Lucas and Summers. I love the passion for college hoops that the Spartans embody. Win or lose, they have my undivided attention and affection.

Members claim their knowledge for D-1 men’s basketball is extension but in fact, when you converse with them it extends no further then their conference or even their team. The passion becomes evident when I subject myself to a $100/month package that allows me to get coverage from games in every conference. Having a “Slingbox” (sorry if that infringes on trade marking and you people are sued) to watch from my office, while doing work, the games I recorded. I’m an alumni of University of Arizona and they are my team but my love for NCAA basketball doesn’t stop there.
