self-nomination--chubbybud
i am very excited to have just witnessed my team, the villanova wildcats, get in the tourney as a no 12 seed vs no 5 clemson. i love the widcats because jay wright always gets the most out of his players and although his teams are almost always guard orrientd, they manage not only to survive but to thrive in the big east. a bad-boy, big-man, beat em down, last man standing type of league. i think clemson gives nova a very tought first round matchup just due to overall size and physical prowess, but if anybody can get his guys ready for a slug fest, its jay wright... if scottie reynolds finds his 3pt touch early this could be one of ur typical 12-5 upsets.

Leaving "no doubt" that the NCAA selection committee likesw to put drama even in First Rd Games... USC v. KSU in Nebraska... Word to wise TAKE USC,,, Defense too tough Mr. B may score 50% of KSUs 50 some points and still lose... OJ Mayo, Davon Jefferson, and Taj Gibson too much for the gritty KSU team, i just thought I'd help a few with your brackets!!
Fight ON!!

HogsRoll07, re: Arizona State- This is the only school from Arizona that deserves to get in ...nobody "deserves" to get into the Big Dance. Yes, ASU did beat AZ 2x this year (and I'm not going to say Bayless was out one game and Wise was out the other), ASU simply beat Arizona.
The key is, who did ASU play when it controlled the schedule? i.e. non-conference games and where did they occur and did they win or lose and how close was the game, et al...check the record, ASU v. UA on that note and Arizona (by the skin of its teeth) eeked out a bid.
ASU did nothing to help its cause by playing cupcakes with a couple of exceptions in its non-conference schedule. Beef up the schedule ASU and you stand a better chance. That's why Arizona is in its 24th consecutive NCAA tournament. That said, nice avatar. Best of luck.

I nominate me to represent Kent State University. First off, I am a Kent State graduate, class of 1990, so I am a real life, honest to goodness Golden Flash. Kent State University owns the longest 20-win season streak in college basketball, so the Elite 8 run several years ago was no fluke. This years team features one of the top defensive squads in college basketball and a 10 deep roster that fights for every rebound and loose ball.

One other thing... Give the UCLA thing to Sayhey....anyone who would let Larry Farmer autograph his arm (he did not have a cast either!) is just a short step away from allowing Kevin Love autograph his chest!!
As for Luck with NIT and USC USC will be seeing UCLA this week at Staples!!!
Fight ON!!!
I sure would let Kevin Love autograph my chest and then have it tattooed permanently. As for 'SC making the NIT, well, rarely are our greatest dreams ever realized, not that was ever realistic. I was happy to see that they got KS St. which is a pretty tough match-up for a 6th seed.

I nominate myself Sir Ron Mexico of the University of Georgia. I love my team for over "weathering the storm" to win the SEC tournament to earn an NCAA bid. Georgia's coach Dennis Felton stood for the integrity of the program risking his job by kicking his two highest scorers off the team only to have Georgia make it to the big dance and thats why I love my Dawgs!
