Araker yes. Maurice Patton is also the name of the guy who is staff writer for the Tennessean and does many Vanderbilt sports articles. Not sure if he is kin to Ricardo Maurice Patton who is the coach of NIU?

How can you deny Memphis this nomination!! I know we Memphis fans like to play the Dangerfield card of "No Respect", but look at the athletes on this team. Look at the RPI despite being in crappy C-USA. Cal has done all he can do to get us on TV, improve the RPI, get us out of C-USA so that we can tell the world, "BRING IT!" When Memphis plays bad or couldn't hit sand if they fell off a camel we still will beat teams 11-65 in the field! You don't get three 30 plus win seasons in a row without being able to play some serious college basketball. It is a direct smack to Coach Cal and the man has done wonders at every college he has served. Take a look at the team, the coach, the polls, the RPI, and all the stats (except the free throw percentage :) ) and then go ahead and lock us in for the final four!!!

I cannot believe that (at least as of yesterday), no one has signed up for Memphis. I am that guy.
Don't let my avatar fool you -- I have been a Memphis basketball fan since Penny, when the school was Memphis State. (Check my profile if you don't believe me.) I suffered through the heartbreak of Darius Washington at the free throw line, and I have anxiously awaited the return of prestige to this program. I will ride them all the way to the Final 4!

The wonderful University of Dayton Flyers will suprise everyone this year. Xavier is projected as a #3 or #4 seed in most bracketology and UD is superior to them. Although the 20-9 record and 2 losses to Xavier will lead you to beleive otherwise, Dayton suffered the last half of the season without a freshman phenom by the name of Chris Wright. He made the All-Freshman team for the A-10 and only played 2 conference games. Now that he's back along with Brian Roberts, UD goes sweet 16, reminiscent of 1984 with Roosevelt Chapman. GO FLYERS!!!

December 3, 1985 the first day Orange blood pumped throughout my entire body. Every day I have walked this earth with one and only one song stuck in my head - Rocky Top. Whether it was watching Manning throwing Joey Kent a TD on the first play of the game against Alabama in 1995 or watching Lofton shoot 30 ft. jump shots with Durant-like defenders in his face, or Watching Georgia's P44 Haynes, short pass to the fullback to end the game or The Vols blowing a 20 pt lead against OSU in March last year, I've always uttered the phrase " I say it's Great To Be A Tennessee Vol"

Dormanium is backing the Saint Joseph's Hawks.
Behind the terrifying trio of Pat Calathes, Ahmad Nivens, and Tasheed Carr, and with the genius of Phil Martelli's coaching, the Hawks will take the A-10 tournament, and run on that momentum to the sweet 16. The Hawks have been waiting since 2004 for a chance to get back to the late rounds of the tournament, and this year is just as good as any to do it.
Fly, Hawks, Fly!

I already nominated Notre Dame, but Joe said they were unnominated. So here's my original post.
University of Notre Dame du Lac Fighting Irish!!! After suffering through a horrible football season, Irish fans and students finally have something to cheer about. With the second longest home winning streak in the country, I'm sure you'll find some passionate Irish fans on here. But i've lived in South Bend my entire 19 years, and I have never been more excited about an ND team. Harangody's a beast, Tory's a playmaker, and the rest of the guys make this a team that could really go on a run in the tourney...GO IRISH!!!
