Lets Go Spartans!

I always have been and always will be a Michigan State Spartan. I may be young, and the oldest players I remember as Spartans are Mo Pete and Co. My favorite moment as a Spartan fan has to be when they made their Final Four run, beating Vermont, Duke, and Kentucky. However, I believe our year is coming, in the next year or two. With Morgan, Lucas, Suton, and others returning, we will be a dominant force. If we can sure up our turnover and road troubles, we will be dangerous this year.

GO GREEN!

GO WHITE!

Hey! Don’t forget the little guys!  For the eighth year out of ten, the Winthrop Eagles are back in the dance baby!  This hometown team has got what it takes to make another upset in the tourney.  From the high-flying Taj  McCullough to the sharp-shooting Michael Jenkins to the magic man Chris Gaynor and the fallen but not forgotten De’Andre Adams, the “WU Crew” can really play.  After 101 wins in 4 years, this spirited squad will try to continue their success in March, Baby!

GO EAGLES!

Believing is what you guys should get used to. Once your big name conference schools get knocked out in round one, two, or maybe three you are all going to want a cinderella to win it all. And the only cinderella left at that point (if you can even call them that) will be-GONZAGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO ZAGS!

Joe, the Hartford Hawks are one game away!  You just may have to choose me by default if they get in.

7 days 'til the selection of the field as well as the nominees from each team.

Looks as if my boys will be dancing (hopefully with my backing in this tournament) after their win today [bottom right]. So watch out!

Memphis!!!  The Tigers have been a part of my life since birth.  I grew up in the 80’s when early life revolved around games at the Mid-South Coliseum, and Elliot “goggles not socks” Perry battling the evil Louisville Cardinals!  I was at the first game played at the Pyramid (Tomb of Doom!) and also watched from the court (as a ball boy) when Penny and Vaughn shocked the nation by beating the Memphis traitors and #2 Arkansas!  Tiger Basketball is far more than just college athletics in Memphis, it's one of the single most important sources of civic pride!

West Virginia University Mountaineers. This is a team that won the NIT last year and ended up losing its coach right after that to Michigan which I am glad to say has crap for a team now. WVU went into the State of Kansas and snatched up Bob Huggins a WVU Alum to take over a team with no free rides left in hand. Coach has taken a team thawas predicted to finish at best 8th in the Big East and molded them into a 5th place finish. They had a 2point loss to Tennessee and was 73 in their last 10 games for a strong finish. They won 11 games in one of the toughest conference's in the country. This team has suprised the so called experts as well as many, many fans. I said they would win 23 in the regular season and I was off by 1. These young men will enter the tournament with a head of steam and a coach who is known for good tournament runs.
