Nominating DPSREF  .....  a lifelong Xavier fan and this season has been the greatest yet for the Musketeers, whose recent history has been nothing but winning seasons.  It all started about 20 years ago whith the hiring of Bob Staak as the Xavier hoops coach, and then followed by a long line of successful coaches (Pete Gillen, Skip Prosser (rest in peace), Thad Matta and now, Sean Miller).  Also several players who have went on to fine NBA careers (Tyrone Hill, James Posey, David West, etc).

Hey, nominate UofL*524

I have always been a University of Louisville Cardinals fan. I love to watch them play, and to watch them always gives me excitement. They are a pasionate team, and I am almost as passionate about sports as they are on the court. I am also an Ohio State Buckeyes fan, having my dad, uncle and other family gone there. I love college sports, and probably couldn't go on without them!

Tennessee has made a name for themselves this year with their consistent play.  I'm hoping that this continues through the SEC tournament and into the NCAA tournament.  Bruce Pearl has turned this team around.  Three cheers for the VOLS.

Vanderbilt doesn't need an athletic director to spank your weak squad.

Vanderbilt is committed to educating the world.  As such, the university has no athletic department, as it was dissolved in 2003.  While some thought this decision would put VU at a disadvantage athletically, the university has shown that it can have a strong commitment to the student experience while being successful on the field and the court.  Vanderbilt has shown that a university can be successful in both athletics and academics, and that's why I love my 'Dores.

Nick Zeppos, who had been named intrim, was named over the weekend.  Since it's spring break,  I haven't been able to hear from my friends to judge what the mood is on campus.

Who doesn’t bleed TENNESSEE orange?  I have bled it for the past 12 years (21) and why not, a National Championship in Football and the rise and fall and rise again of the Basketball team.  If you don’t remember the first rise it occurred around 2000-20001 when Ron Slay, Tony Harris Vincent Yarborough all played for the team and under Green we started 16-1 (then promptly broke my heart and finished around 4-12).  I followed them through the 15 win seasons of the Peterson era and now with Pearl we have a chance to do something special.  GO VOLS!!!

The New Mexico Lobos will represent the Mountain West Conference well, because they're the best NCAA Men's BB team that nobody's heard of! At 22-7, and with the nation's top 3-pt FG% squad, we have a chance to make the NCAA Tourney this year. Besides we're a lot of fun to watch!

I will represent the Lobos well. Besides, I'm a lot of fun to watch, too!

ooo! ooo! pick me! pick me!

I was born and raised a UK fan, have moved all over the country, but finally am back where my heart belongs.  Even years like this one, I still think we can win every game, and that "Fanatical" approach... Is the true definition of the word "fan."

Kentucky Blue, through and through.

I watched the 1966 title game with my dad.  We used to eat Sunday dinner with the family, , and talk invariably ran to the previous night's game.   That's how you raise KY fans.

In high school I clipped out Dan Issel photos from the newspaper, and saved them.

I went to UK and watched every game.  We beat dook and Gminski in '78, glorious!  Goose Givens lit up the  nets.

On Sunday, went over to campus to welcome back Ramel and company from Tennessee.

Kentucky Blue, forever.

I've noticed a lot of the "popular" posters aren't jumping all over this with the excuse that "the user tournament has been done to death." Bunch of bums, it's because this tournament you actually have to throw something meaningful into it. You have to think. You guys can do that, I know it! So pony up and say you're too lazy, or you just don't think you'll win.

My wife is gonna kill me for this if I have to work on the "essays" at home... lol

My Entrance Exam:

I am a huge Arizona fan, have been ever since I knew what basketball really was. My first memory of a game is the Arizona/UNLV NCAA Tourney game back in 1991. There was so much hype and excitement I fell in love with the sport and the team. I have tremendous respect for Lute Olson and the classy program he has built. I love the storylines in Arizona's program. I love watching a team win, but they have to do it in a classy manner. I get both with Arizona.

Bear Down Arizona! Bear down red and blue!

(Wish I could use more than 100 words!)

Granted, I don't really care for UT, but, not sure if you noticed this or not, but UT made the Sweet 16 last year. . .
