What are your thought on Temple Football this year?

Seems to be another promising recruiting year, and with talent comes a natural program progression.  I would expect TU to win 6-7 games and build the type of depth necessary to compete on an annual basis with the rest of the MAC.

This will be the first year Al can actually redshirt players.  What a concept!

I think we're looking at a minimum of a .500 season.  This is the second year in a row that they demolished the rest of the MAC in recruiting.  If we keep this apce it's just a matter of time before we are playing in a MAC bowl game.  Right now they still have a ways to go, but I'd expect nothing less than a .500 finish in 08.

I'm happy with .500 but hey a couple of breaks and who know's, as long as the bullshit calls like Connecticut don't go against them they can compete in every game. By the way does anyone know what happend to KeyAire Griffin?

Temple will go Bowling this year. The only fear is that if they do , the coach will never see any of recruits graduate. I actually see him at PSU as the head man in two years if he isn't grabbed after this year. The new PA and MD recruits have been fun to watch vs. the JACO transfers of only a few years ago.

This will be interesting year out of the MAC East. Most of the teams have a legitimate shot at the MAC east title, including Temple. An upset of U-Conn (which I think is very possible) in your second game would set a very good tone.

Temple is my dark horse for the MAC east and making a trip to Internation Bowl with some BE payback.

Good Luck to you

The Mac as a whole will be much stronger this season in both divisions. Temple has done well in recruiting as have several Mac teams. OOC wins vs BCS teams are huge for this conference as we all know. The bottom line however is to beat your division rival ( or in your case the top team) which could be Miami Oh , BG or Akron. Get to the Mac Championship and win it. The West is stacked with Offense from Central Mich, Ball State, Western Mich, and even Eastern Mich this year. Toledo has strayed off from their dominant ways but never count out the Rockets. NIU is hurting a little.

Looking forward to a great season in the MAC and good luck to the OWLS in getting a foothold in the MAC EAST.

Check us out on Sept 5th (Friday Night) vs NAVY on ESPN 2. BAll State vs the Middies. Should be a great showcase for the conference since we beat them in OT last year in Annapolis !

Cardinal Football Alliance.
