stay away from the real discussion that Clemson is an above average team.

.583 in the Mighty ACC

There's not much else I need to say.  That stat says it all.  Just remember the last time y'all started with this much preseason hype, you finished 6-5.  That Tommy Boy don't win the games he's supposed to.  You know Tommy can't defend the option, much less the triple option.  There goes the GT game for the second year in a row.  Hopefully you'll at least put up more than 3 yards rushing on the board this year.

WRONGO ! first of all, the Tigers did not join the ACC until 1940. The win % since joining the league is .612

Secondly , and more interestingly is how a S. Carolina fan can be critical of anybody's winning % when the gamesux are at .500 ! And since joining the SEC you have not only failed at winning, but you have also become the joke of southern football. Your program is now not even as good as traditional doormats Wake Forest and Vanderbilt.

The fact of the matter is that after another loss to the Tigers in the Valley this November, the Old Bald Coach will begin to feel the Chicken Curse and wonder if he should'nt retire before your bottom feeder football program drags down his reputation just like it drug down Lou's.

it has nothing to do with admission requirements.  it is that usc can accept twice as many students as clemson from close the same amount of applicants.  therefore there are going to be more people that get into usc but not clemson.  most clemson students would be accepted to both schools.

I love how you upstate fans pay attention so well.

Tommy Bowden is...

.583 in the Mighty ACC

and .6whatever ain't much better.  I wonder what a good to great team's record would be in the ACC.  Perhaps we should look at FSU's first ten years to find out.

Yeah, FSU lost about 3 games in the first ten seasons in the ACC.  They were a truly dominant powerhouse.

But what is your point?  Nobody is trying to argue that we are a Florida State of the 90's.

23-21

64-37-4

Yeah, FSU lost about 3 games in the first ten seasons in the ACC.  They were a truly dominant powerhouse.

The point is how pathetic the rest of the ACC, which includes Clemson, was and still is.  FSU had its equals in the nineties.  But none of those other teams ever dominated their conference the way FSU breezed through the ACC year after year.  Miami wasn't even that dominant in the pathetic Big East.

So the point is, a powerhouse easily goes undefeated in the ACC.  A good (meaning above average) team would then at least win 8 out of 10 games.  But Clemson isn't even winning 6 out of 10 games in the ACC.

Ummmm  you only play 8 conference games per season.  Do you happen to know which team has the most ACC Championships?

You are correct though that since 91 we haven't been doing much until recently.  But now the facilities are upgraded and we are now starting to get some of the great recruits.  Clemson is getting close to putting together a very very good team, and they were above average finishing last season ranked.  Clemson is definitely moving in the right direction so I am sure that Tommy's ACC record will change.

At least I know we will not go 3-5 like some other team has the past couple of years.

well when you speak about good or great teams you are obviously NOT talking about the KOOKS. If USC had stayed in the ACC you would be the other Duke, the sad little school that gives good effort but is woefully untalented and pathetically relegated to losing. South Carolina should have stayed an independent, that way they couldn't blame their sorry record on being in a tough conference like you hear every time a cocksupporter opens the beak to speak.

Your pitiful program is delinquent-filled, is win-deprived, has a silly ass mascot name, and i guess overall is just about a sure win for my Tigers, which if i think about it for awhile really aint all that bad. Its nice to have a kid brother to kick around after all.
