Clemson has been to more bowls in the last 20 years than USC has played in period.
TigrStripe.. this guy would argue with St. Peter. It is weird how cock supporters run that "We are an SEC team,so its harder for us...blahblahblah" crud up the flagpole everytime you remind them how sorry they are. Truth of the matter is that it wouldnt matter if they played in the SOCON, they would still be gettin' it handed to them.

In response to the original question by the USC fan:
"Clemson had previously announced plans to play Central Florida at home and Louisiana Tech in Shreveport, LA during the 2008 season, but both schools contacted Clemson and asked to be relieved of their contract obligations so they could play different schools".
We pick up Alabama, from the all-mighty SEC. We then had to go and pick up SCS and Citadel since all other respectable football teams have their schedules planned out years in advance.

We've already been through this, and it's a load of crap. As recently as LAST WEEK, Kansas dumped Fresno St from their '08 schedule. Guess who they got to replace Kansas. A 3A high school, like Clemson would have? Hardly. They replaced them with Rutgers. And being the real men they are at Fresno, they even agreed to go on the road.
Your AD looked at your terribly weak schedule, and asked himself how he could make it even weaker. That's what happened. Seven home games wasn't enough, you had to have eight. That's weak and pathetic.
So quit spewing the crap about, "they're all we could find on such short notice." BS. Last I checked, last week is a ton shorter notice than six months ago.

if they played in the SOCONIt's rather ironic you would mention the SOCON, considering your schedule this year.

You want Irony ,I will give you irony. How ironic that two of the winningest college football coaches of all time have failed miserably to win in Columbia. Well maybe that is a poor example of irony, i guess that really should be expected. I mean after all, we are talking about one of the worst Div.1 programs of all-time.
Garcia get bailed out yet ? what is the deal with that human catastrophe? Looks like the ol' bald coach might want to quit whining to the school administrators about admitions policy and really involve himself in his recruiting policies. With garbage-brained kids like Garcia coming to Columbia there is no hope for Team KFC to crawl itself out of the NCAA gutter.

Last I checked, Lou Holtz ran ND into the ground, and they still haven't recovered. Last I checked, Spurrier has a winning record at Carolina. Oddly enough, it's about the same win percentage that Tommy has in the ACC. So unless Tommy really is a loser, it sounds like Steve is still a winner.
And last I checked, Garcia didn't get behind the wheel and drive while he was drunk, like a certain STARTING linebacker for that school in the upstate did. Curiously, your man didn't even miss a practice, much less a game.
You may want to look at your own house, before you throw a stone at someone else's. My DUI stone is a whole lot bigger than your underage drinking stone. Especially considering that we've yet to let our man see the field due to his indisgressions.

CV has not missed much playing time because he has yet to be convicted of DUI. IF that happens after the trial then you will likely see a significant penalty.
And you can not really try to defend SG that kid just does not think. It's not just one stone with him. He has racked up a whole arsenal. Even without Garcia, Carolina has quite a few of its other athletes that like to run into the Columbia Police Dept.

Who cares if he's yet to be convicted? Tommy doesn't demand honesty out of his players? He can't simply ask him, "Did you drink and drive?" Kids all over the nation have been suspended over lesser crimes BEFORE their convictions.
And you can not really try to defend SG that kid just does not think.
He's one of ours. Besides, wherein did I defend him? I can raise cane about him; you cannot. Why? Because a fan of a team that lets DUI kids play has no room to criticize a team that's SUSPENDED a kid for underage drinking.
